I am trying to give store feedback and this is the only place I could find.

Couldn’t find an email address to send privately and thought that a hand written note might not be read, so am reviewing here. I have been a regular customer here for years. When I saw that no staff here were wearing masks, despite public health orders for almost the first time around here, I was shocked and distressed. I thought I would forget it, but days later, I am still shocked. I am really relieved to have found another place to shop, which is not discriminating against vulnerable customers. But I still would like to beg (though, really there is a public health order and I shouldn't have to beg!), could this specialist health food and naturopathic medicine store, please find a way to have, say, a couple of staff who feel capable of wearing face masks for a couple, even four advertised hours a week? This would allow vulnerable customers to access the care products that they need. I really don’t think that it’s good enough for staff to decide that a vulnerable customer (I don’t mean someone who is suffering covid 19) should not enter their store, because their (political or conspiracy theoried?) preference is to never, ever wear a mask, not even when serving a vulnerable customer or when it is asked as a public health order. Especially when they do not offer affordable (or any) online shopping. I feel strongly that staff self-proclaiming themselves ‘healthy’ and therefore completely incapable of making anyone else sick, seems rough and uncaring. I don’t think that it is the right of staff to police access to natural medicines by limiting that access to only to those who share similar mental concepts and self decided health status. This probably does sound serious. That’s probably because I feel that the problem of blocking customers who may need the products sold here even more than so called ‘healthy’ customers, is a serious one. I hope that a way, such as I suggested above, can be found to provide a genuine duty of care towards all customers. Why advertise on this ‘happy cow’ website (kind to animals!), if you are so rough that you won’t, not even for a few hours a week, put on a mask to protect customers who, for example, might be taking chemotherapy?? I will send this review as a written letter to the business.
