Great Veg Buffet

The usual veg and fake meats fare. Inexpensive and delicious!

Not too far from the station

Before getting on a bus bound for Alishan, I walked from Chiayi Station to this unassuming vegetarian buffet to construct my own bento box. I was able to eat the vegetable rainbow, and I skipped the rice since I had some starchy veggies already. Spent all of NT$72 on a yummy lunch I had on the two-hour bus ride. BYO chopsticks to save on disposable ones. (I would have brought my own dishware had I known I would be in a hurry to catch the only bus that was running that day!)

Pros: variety, vegan options, healthy
