Great Vegan Crepes

Some of the other reviews are pretty negative, but I don't understand why.

It's not a vegan restaurant, but it is one of the few places I've seen - in the world - that offers vegans crepe batter. You do have to specify that you want the crepe made vegan, and then go through the list of vegan cheese, batter, etc. The cook understand this, even if the person taking your order doesn't. Don't be afraid to specify and they'll make you a delicious savory crepe. The have vegan cream cheese and can make the sweet crepes vegan, but I don't recommend the sweet ones because the cream cheese doesn't spread as well.

Pros: vegan options, vegan crepes!

Cons: not listed as vegan on the menu

Underwhelming

I can’t remember what I got from here but the overall experience and the food did not live up to my vegan expectations.

Pros: Fruit infused water available

Cons: Ambiance not that great , Not very exciting options for vegans

Not the best for vegans...

Nothing on the menu makes it clear they have vegan options. I had to ask and the person taking my order got a bit frazzled by the request. You basically just choose something from the regular menu and "veganize" it, but the only substitutes they have are the crepe batter and cheese. I ordered a vegetarian crepe, and asked for it to be vegan. Luckily the cook noticed I probably wanted it all vegan and asked me a few clarifying questions while cooking, so I ended up without any sauce on the crepe (pesto is not vegan).

As another commenter noted, the vegan crepe batter is pretty sweet. It didn't really go all that well with what I ordered. There also was no salad bar when I was there, at least as far as I could see. Was it the most terrible vegan meal I've ever had? No. Was it anything special? Also no.

Pros: Vegan crepe batter, Several vegan cheese substitutes

Cons: Hard to order , Staff not very helpful

You'd Never Know It

I went in one time and walked right back out again because I saw very few vegan accommodations. After reading someone else's review months later, I decided to give it another try. Still no clear vegan options on menu but I inquired of one of the workers and was informed that they do in, fact, offer special crepes that are made vegan as well as vegan cheese! Apparently the vegan cheese is on the menu, just not in a very prominent place. When I went to the back to place my order (weird!), I noticed that they have a full salad bar there! So this place has many options, though all are hidden from view. The crepe itself was quite tasty, and thanks to the vegan cheese and veggie proteins, I did not feel like I was eating a meat entree with all the flavor elements subtracted but instead a complete, plant-based meal. My advice would be to put their vegan options out more boldly for visitors like me.

Pros: Crepe itself is vegan (rare find!), Full salad bar

Cons: Difficult to see vegan options

Great crepes!

I love the crepes here. I don’t have vegan crepes very often, but these crepes are great. There are a few different types of vegan cheeses to choose from as well and many of the menu options can be made vegan. Make sure to ask if the pesto is vegan though. I believe the green pesto is not. The crepe batter is also a bit sweet, which is perfect for the sweet crepes but a bit strange for the savory ones. Try any of the cinnamon nutty crepes! All are great.

Lots of vegan fillings

Crepes were yummy and they had vegan fillings such as mozzarella and pepperjack, chocolate sauce, butter and cream cheese.

Soy, almond and coconut milk were available for chais/coffees.

one of few vegan options in Lansing

Small crepe restaurant in downtown Lansing with vegan crepe batter and 5 vegan cheese options (cream cheese, colby jack, pepperjack, mozzarella, and cheddar). They even cook vegan crepes at a separate station. I appreciate them having so many options for vegans, but I wasn't very impressed. The batter is slightly sweet which gave the savory crepe an odd flavor. Also, the cream cheese is Daiya which sort of overpowered the other flavors in my crepe. The restaurant isn't very ecozfriendly (styrofoam cups, plastic silverware, etc.). Overall, I'm glad to have the option.

Pros: 5 vegan cheeses, vegan batter, separate cooking station

Cons: not eco-friendly, taste is so-so

vegan friendly

This restaurant is great to go to with your non-vegan friends and family. Although the majority of their food is not vegan, they offered a vegan batter and 4 vegan cheese options for crepes. Their smoothies offered 3 non-dairy milks. The staff was incredibly kind and accomodating!

Pros: vegan breakfast!

Cons: expensive
