Amazing app wouldn’t let me give 5 STARS - Edit
Honestly best vegan food truck I’ve had. I’m from Nashville in town visiting Son and just happened across El Green Go. Now I’m so happy my Son has moved to Anchorage so I can make this a regular stop! They will veganize just about anything on menu.

Huge, delicious burrito! - Edit
Absolutely loved my vegan tofu burrito! It was huge, and I needed my omni partner to help me finish it. He was also impressed! It was absolutely delicious, would 100% eat here in Anchorage again

DO NOT MISS - Edit
They don't have a separate vegan menu because they can make anything on the menu vegan (and gluten free), and they don't half ass it either. These were the best vegan tacos I've had anywhere. They smoke the tofu (separately from the meats) which makes it really tasty.

Friendly Staff - Edit
This place was so friendly and understood what vegan meant. My son ordered their burrito and it definitely filled him up (very large serving), my husband and I had the tacos and everything was great!

Fantastic! - Edit
Came here twice - once for nachos and the other for our last dinner in Anchorage as it was the best option around.
Read moreTheir street tacos are absolutely fantastic for not having a mock-meat option. The smoked tofu was really good and the freshness of the other ingredients was clearly apparent. We had the gringo and southwest tacos, both delicious. Their cheese sauce is a bit bland and thin so think of it as a texture enhancer more than flavor.
Some of the friendliest service we had all trip - highly recommend this team!
Pros: Great tacos, Really great service, Well priced
Cons: Bland vegan cheese sauce, Wish they offered a chorizo or other vegan meat

My Favorite Place in Anchorage! - Edit
I love this food truck! Amazing vegan food and a lot of vegan options. They really know how to cook and season tofu. This was my first meal request in the hospital after having my baby!

The best Mexican food I’ve ever had. - Edit
Your missing out if you don’t go. The sauces are amazing. Just the right amount of spicy. Just say you want it vegan and they will make sure it is. The sauces are vegan so you don’t miss out on any flavor. We went there over and over. Great service and a fun spot to eat.

So good I had flashbacks to Austin! Holy moly, it is a freaking miracle this place even exists, especially for Anchorage, and I hope it pushes/inspires more eateries in the future. They were out of the vegan coconut-based queso the day we lunched there, but it's cool, it's a food truck, after all, and everything we had was just as the title promises - awesome!
Read moreMy wife and I shared a pair of breakfast tacos and street tacos. The smoked tofu added into both was surreal, and again, brings on that SW goodness. Flavorful salsas, too. How cool to have a roasted poblano vegan aioli lining the tacos!
I look forward to our next visit! It's hard to go anywhere else if it's during their seasonal run.....
Pros: "flavortown", for real, more than two vegan options!, great for a sunny day
Cons: price, but it is a GREAT indie biz in alaska!, no vegan cojita sub (yet, tbd), outdoor only, fyi

Finally, Anchorage has excellent Vegan nachos!! - Edit
Had the Mexi Bowl and it was fantastic! It was fresh and so flavorful, you could tell the care and thought the owners put into their food. Will be back for more and would buy the nacho sauce by the gallon if they ever decide to jar it 😉
