Nice atmosphere

The owner is lovely and willing to expand vegan offerings in the future, recently the new breakfast menu has come out and contains six breakfast options for vegans, handy!

Pros: Open fireplace , Forest setting , Friendly staff

Among the gum trees

A great spot to enjoy the bushland view if seated on the verandah. The vegan choices are promising and will hopefully improve and diversify with time and support from local vegans.

Potential if demand creates supply

Limited but interesting vegan items on the menu. Nice place, larger than I expected and a very nice setting. Service was decent if not spot on, but this was their 2nd day open I believe and they were busy when we arrived.
We had the Power bowl and the Salt & Pepper tofu steak sandwich, both of these definitely have potential, but could be tweaked. The bowl was well flavoured, but was small and lacking a couple of ingredients (roast potato chunks and capsicum or similar), so it was not good value and not filling.
The tofu steak sandwich was a baguette, it was also well done, but there was no sign of the generally strong salt & pepper flavour and it too could have used another ingredient or 2, perhaps some guacamole and tomato?

While not an overly positive review, I would hope Cook's Corner improves and receives a decent amount of vegan custom.
4 stars because of the potential and the location/the need for more in the hills and Happycow's ridiculously constrained rating system (in effect only a 4 star system)
