Serves meat, vegan options available. In the party town of Rio Vermelho on the road to the Ibis and Mercure hotels, a most unlikely thing in Brazil's north east: a restaurant and bar that marks items not just vegetarian but vegan, too (a rarity). Many appetizers and main courses for vegetarians, and several for vegans. Reported closed to HappyCow Sep 2018.

Great food, sophisticated venue, decent price

Lots of veggie options and a few vegan ones too - you virtually never see either marked here in Salvador. One gotcha: I ordered something on the English menu, but I was served the next thing on the menu by mistake - no problem since it was vegetarian also, but it could have been a disaster. In any case, I haven't had food of such sophistication anywhere here in Bahia, and for under R$20 a plate it was a bargain too. There are more expensive things priced more appropriately for the venue, I'll certainly try those on my next trip here. The restaurant is on the road to the Ibis, Mercure and Pestana hotels (the Pestana is the huge one on the peninsula you can see from just about everywhere).

Pros: good food, nice atmosphere, decent price

Cons: closes by 2230
