Excellent vegan menu

Has a separate vegan/vegetarian menu full of delicious options. The chaats are incredible - definitely recommend the Manchurian Tofu - hands down the best tofu dish I’ve ever eaten. The kale and potato chaat is also lovely and refreshing. We ordered sides and chaats to share - the puri mopped everything up perfectly. So so good.

Pros: The food , The staff were friendly , Prices were very reasonable

I’d have happily given it the full 5 stars, but Happy Cow doesn’t allow it for restaurants that also sell meat

Amazing food, brilliant staff

I would give it 5 stars, but Happy Cow doesn’t allow it for non-veg places! We go to Chaat Haus on a regular basis. The food is interesting and delicious - they use plant-based ghee and yoghurt, and have a delicious vegan korma. Everything on the menu is lovely, and the staff are always so helpful and friendly as well. My fav place to dine in Bedford.

Great dining experience

What sets this place apart from the many other south east asaian restaurants in Bedford is the dedicated vegan menu. It feels fully vegan as the staff all understand everything and can tell you about each item. Lots of variety and choice, out table of 5 could have had all completely different food if we wanted.

The restaurant specialises in chaat, which is full of colour, flavour and textures. They look fantastic and taste it too!

The mains are great portion sizes and some delicious sides too. We actually would have been very content with just having all the different chaat and sides (like the pakora daal & okra fries). There are various rice's like persian ginger & tea and jeera. Full range of drinks, including lots of different chais. There was one vegan dessert (halfa) which we didn't have room for but it would be nice to see a couple more options.

There is a nice ambience. It is lavishly decorated and would be great for a date night or a large family gathering.

Pros: Great attentive staff, So much choice , Amazing flavours

Cons: Should label which alcohol is vegan, Needs more vegan desserts

Home Run for the Haus

Have visited three times now, and food is superb. Vegan menu available on request with loads of options. I especially recommend the manchurian Tofu, and Battered Okra. Lovely service too and very knowledgeable about Vegan options. My only 'sour note' was that I did have a cardamom tea which was lacked flavour, but aside from that, all the food and service was always been wonderful.

Fabulous vegan options

The only reason this isn’t 5 star is because it’s not fully vegan. There is an extensive vegan menu & the team are clearly committed to making the dishes delicious. Highly recommended.
