Great flavours!

The lunch was really, really good. Usually, I find the set lunches a bit bland in Colombia, but Cedro Negro had lovely flavours for every portion of their set menu. Price was 10,000cop.

Good food, good portions

The day I went here the meal of the day included soup, the main plate with 4 items, juice and a small dessert, all for 8000 pesos. I found the food to be quite good and I look forward to going back. I arrived at 12:45 p.m. and there were several tables available. The people that work there are nice. The street numbering seems to be a bit "off" at this location so just look for the map point on HappyCow to find this place.
-------------
Update November 2018: food still good, although not as interesting as before (a lot of times the meal was based on rice and was carb-heavy). Lunch of the day is now 9500 pesos.

Pros: Good flavors, Attractive dining room

Tasty vegan menu of the day

Visited this restaurant twice in my two days in Manizales. The set lunch menu on both days was vegan, and tasty, including the cake which came as dessert. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced (9500COP for a soup, main, dessert and drink)

Pros: Vegan set menu, Good value , Tasty

Delicious, healthy food at a great price and atmosphere

I have eaten here almost everyday of the week while I have been in Manizales. The food is consistently good and feels like home cooked food (not too greasy) so I feel ok to be eating out all the time. Love the daily salads that come with the meal. The set lunch comes with soup, a plate of rice or pasta, salad, and a couple other things depending on the day, a fresh fruit juice and a small dessert. In the evening you can get a veggie/ lentil burger, mushroom crepe or patacon or a few other snacks. The atmosphere is friendly, the staff are lovely.

Pros: delicious food, great price, friendly staff and atmosphere

Cons: closed sunday

Great spot

One of my fave restaurants in Manizales. Cedro Negro is an upstairs restaurant, centrally located by the stadium and Cable. It has great outdoor seating, with a view to the main cathedral, and good, cheap food. They also have plenty of vegan snacks at the counter - including the only vegan milk chocolate I've found in Colombia.
