A rock bar/restaurant with some vegan pizza, burgers and chips. It’s a place to go sit with your friends for some bear and pizza, it’s not gonna be healthy but they have pretty good food. They started offering vegan options during meatless october over a year ago and they were so popular that they kept them on the menu.

If you’re after an authentic tasty junkfood experience, this place is not for you. One of the rare places where I have left with uneaten food. The pizza was tasteless, watery and had barely any filling. Go to a store and buy a frozen vegan pizza, it will be better than this.

Bar Loosister offers a vast array of vegan pizzas, burgers and the like next to other, non-vegan dishes. The list of vegan options is great! I have tried two different pizzas, and enjoyed them both a lot - they are quality! Not too much vegan cheese, which is good, and the bottom is thin and crisp from the edges. Still need to try the vegan burgers, but I am sure that I won't be disappointed!

A relaxed and warm pub-like setting. Quite a few vegan pizzas, burgers and sides on the menu. Pizzas come with a crisp thin crust, perfectly melted vegan cheese and tasty toppings including veggies, seitan and avocado. Burgers are available on a proper Finnish rye bread and fries can be swapped for a fresh side salad.

loosister is a bar with quite a rock atmosphere. they serve several vegan options, incl several pizzas and burgers. it's not the place I'd bring my mom, but it's perfect to meet with friends, eat and have a beer.

Loosister is a rock bar with easy going atmosphere. They have multiple vegan pizzas and burgers with seitan, vegan salami, vegan cheese etc. One of my favourite bars in Helsinki! Try seitan's finest pizza or Big sister's burger.

Read moreAfter reading a few places online that they served vegans, I went in all happy & asked if they had any vegan beers or wines to start with. In response, I received a scoff & a snarky comment that "well they don't put beef inside any beers". At the 2nd site, bar loose, I received just as puzzled a look in reply with a less rude "no, of course not" type of answer.
I didn't fancy telling the staff how to do their jobs & wondered why a bar would open if they don't know the first thing about the prducts they're selling or what goes into them. Rather than a ton of repeat business over the spring & summer, I have never bothered tasting the food or ever entering back into either place. Neither are "vegan friendly" & should be avoided like the plague. 0 out of 10!

I don´t think there is any non-vegan restaurant in Finland where they would have ever heard about a thing called vegan beer or wine. Please be reasonable, in most countries in the world it´s not fair to expect random staff not to get confused about such a question. And Loosister is a rock bar, and in Finland it means tough attitude!

To reissausta ja ruokaa: the place has tofu options and vegan cheese listed in their menu as of today - threrefore they are aiming to appeal to a vegan audience. Plenty of places haven't got a clue when it comes to vegan beers or drinks - I just had a similar experience in the Michelin starred Farang also but there's a big difference between being a restaurant which politely tells you they haven't got a clue then try frantically to find out, or a bar (a place foremost associated with beers and wines), who appear in advertisements, to be vegan friendly then not having a clue & just giving a smarmy answer. I gave a real life experience as an end customer & am warning people that they'd better like drinking unexciting water & how they're going to be treated. Irrespective of wheter you like the place, work there or similar!

Just had a pizza and burger here. Portions were huge. Vegan burger was amazing. Seitan slices, relish, salad, vegan cheese. Really nice. Pizza was spicy, with seitan and mozzarella (vegan). For an omnivorous pub the vegan options are way better than expected. Good pub grub in a rock bar setting.

I LOVE THEIR TOFU BURGER! - Edit
This place has a very cool and fun vibe, the rock n' roll decor gives it great personality and the staff is super friendly and laid back. More importantly, the food is delicious. I love the "tree hugger" vegan burger. It even comes with vegan coleslaw... delicious. This is the perfect place if you want to hang with locals and get a big, filling vegan meal. Pizza is also delicious. Lots of other places to get salads and raw vegan food in Helsinki but this is a winner for big, hot, stuff your face food :) Oh, and if you're staying in the center of the city, it's easy to walk here -- it's just 3 main roads and the walk took me 25-30 minutes each way, which is perfect for working up a big appetite and then walking it off :)

Read moreI had the Seitan-Finest-pizza. Seitan pieces were a bit too soft, in my opinion, but still okay. Best thing, that they serve the pizza with vegan mozzarella. Awesome.
You have to order at the bar, prices moderate.

Great Tofu Burger - Edit
We stumbled upon this restaurant. It was a typical bar/restaurant where you seat yourself and order at the bar. We both ordered the tofu burger and fries. We were amazed at the size and quality of the tofu considering it was bar food. The generous portion of tofu had a spicy seasoning and was very filling. The fries were also very good. If I was allowed to, I would have given this five stars!
