After a 15 mile ramble in the nearby countryside and getting lost, we missed closing time to be able to sit inside and eat but the owner sold us some amazing cakes and great vegan pale ale for us to takeaway.

It's fantastic to see a great vegan cafe/restaurant in a small town like Nailsworth with an owner with an obvious passion for what they do.

We will definitely return when next in the area.

loved this place!

We were travelling from London looking around the Cotswolds and were so happy to find a fully vegan gluten free eatery! The food was so tasty - really well made. We had some lovely salads and gluten free bread made from chickpea flour. Then we sampled almost every dessert! We particularly loved the caramel slice and the raw jam scone. Go with an open mind and enjoy the food!

Pros: good price , fully vegan and gluten free, delicious food

Very Disappointing

We drove from Wales specifically to eat here...

The Menu was very limited (& misleading), the place was tiny, the service was very slow & the Food was Below Average!

I want to say only positive things about any Vegan Cafe I eat at but I have to be honest with my experience.

The only Good part of our visit was the Raw Cheese, that's it.

I would never go back! :(

very expensive but amazing cakes

Unfortunately we didn't have chance to eat the food so cannot comment on that but the cakes were great and the restaurant's own pale ale nice (I'm not a pale ale fan but loved it). Very expensive though, rob a bank if you go for a meal.

Pros: friendly customer service, cakes! , Asparagasm pale ale

Cons: too expensive to go to regularly

Loved it!

Came down from Cambridge for the weekend to write a yoga workshop and retreat from the busyness and this cafe did it for me 100%.

Location, decor, staff, food, vibe.

Loved everything.

Pros: Food, Decor and location, staff were lovely

Cons: none

Cute, quirky & delicious

Was travelling back from Wales up the M5 and found Asparagasm on the HappyCow website so decided to stop there for lunch. (Nailsworth itself was really nice to wander round, with lots of small, independent shops.)

The food on offer looked great, and I was very happy with the main meal I ordered - Spaghetti Squash with Lentil Bolognese, accompanied by all the salads on offer. Really tasty and filling.

The staff working were very friendly and helpful, and although when I arrived there was only one other person there, the cafe filled up an was busy by the time I left. Although I was very happy with the meal I chose, as the choice is limited to the daily specials, it means there is not a massive choice in terms of main dishes. Not a huge problem, but might be limiting for some.

Would be very happy to recommend a trip to any passing, and would certainly take a detour to visit again :-)

Pros: Excellent, tasty food, Small, quirky and fun cafe, Friendly service

Cons: Limited choice for main meals- only daily specials

Lush food - please open a branch in Stroud!

Heard good things about this place. The food didn't disappoint. Nice venue and the service was delightful. Some smoothies weren't available sadly.

Interesting and varied special board served with nice salads. Looking forward to coming back!

I would eat here every day!

Amazing to find this little place. Everything I tried was delicious and really well priced. Especially for the raw cakes and cheese. I just wished I lived closer.

Worth The Trip

I visited for the first time for a Japanese Feast event. The food was interesting and good, but being prepared by a visiting chef, cannot be used to judge the normal menu. There staff were warm, welcoming and attentive and sufficiently impressive that I will definitely return on a normal day and for future special events.

Pros: Brilliant staff, Good atmosphere, Nice location

Cons: Slightly cramped

Nourishing and delicious

Having recently turned Gluten and sugar free (along with vegan) I thought that eating out would become a thing of the past, so imagine my joy when I found out that this restaurant was opening. The first time in over a year that I haven't had to be that annoying customer who has to either ring up in advance or bug the waiting staff with a long list of questions in order to find something suitable to eat. The only problem I had this time was choosing what to eat, I wanted to try it all!! I settled for the cheese platter and salad in the end and was not disappointed. I look forward to trying more of their delicious and nourishing offerings in the future.

Pros: Organic, Great staff, Beautiful flavours

The gem of Nailsworth

Asparagasm has, hands down, the best vegan cheese I have tried in 15years of veganism. Made on site by one of the team, the variety & effort they have for raw food here is outstanding.

If you need hearty stodge also have lunch & watch Gorest Green Rovers (vegan football club!) less than a mike away....

Can't wait to come back!

Just ate here for the first time today and cannot stop talking about it. I had the green juice, the soup of the day (leek, cannellini bean, and kale), the ratatouille with a side salad, and the dessert platter with tea. We also took home the cheese platter. (We were very excited lol).

Everything was absolutely delicious! I was especially impressed with the dessert platter. I have baked vegan both personally and professionally, and I have always found raw desserts to be the most challenging. The chefs at Asaparagasm blew me away! Each dessert was more exciting than the next. Unique flavors, beautiful presentation, happy tastebuds.

On a side note, the location itself is whimsical. I had never been to Nailsworth before, and this restaurant is nestled in a particularly sweet little area inside the town center. The restaurant has so many noteworthy decor choices - sturdy wooden tables, mismatched chairs, dessert served on slates, well-placed succulent plants, etc.

Bristolians, it is worth the drive!!

Exactly what I've been looking for!

My fiancé and I decided to drop by this wonderful place on our anniversary. The cafe is small with tasteful decorations and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. The food is healthy, well thought out and totally delicious. Hot food came out hot and raw food was perfectly seasoned. The stand out for me was the fermented "cheese" platter which we got to takeaway after we stuffed our face on a selection of raw treats/cakes. Definitely something I could feed to omnivorous friends & family without them batting an eyelid. We will definitely be heading back and I encourage everyone from nearby towns to go and try it out! 10/10

Pros: Healthy, Unique , Great Atmosphere
