Lovely plant based restaurant

We took the none vegan parents. 😬 They really loved the food 🙏🏼. It’s a great addition to Eastbournes eateries. We had the Dona wrap, coconut curry Dahl and jerk tofu. All delicious- Oh and NY cheese cake to die for 😃😃😃🍰

Pros: Lots of options , Lovely staff, Delicious food

All vegan restaurant with lots of options!

I would have rated higher, but I ordered the Jamaican Jerk tofu and was disappointed. I wish I went for the Mushroom Dhansak like my partner did, that dish was so delicious in comparison. Overall, it’s a lovely restaurant with a good vibe and plenty of options. Make sure you book/reserve a table in advance as they are often full.

Yum

We were out on a training walk up at beachy head and on our way back decided to stop into the newly revamped restaurant The people were lovely and we chose a high carb cup and diner kebab meat wrap each ( as we needed to replace calories - wow what a revelation - so delicious - small cosy premises - friendly staff - something for all tastes - will try curry next time 🙂👍🏼🙏

Pros: All vegan - varied menu , Delicious flavours, Lovely atmosphere

Excellent food & service

All the food was excellent and so was the service. Got the flatbread and dips as a starter, sweet & sour Hong Kong style, lentil & mushroom curry as mains & banana loaf with cream as dessert. Had to book in advance as not many seats but online booking is easy. Fully recommend!

Excellent

Hubby is vegetarian, so he's rarely had the choice of everything on the menu.
So tonight we went to The Green Bro's in Eastbourne for the very first time.
It will not be our last visit.
As a reluctant vegetarian, I was unsure what to expect but it was excellent.
From the warm greeting from the staff, to the lovely atmosphere in the dining area, it ticked boxes before we'd even sat down.
Hubby had choice of everything, and chose the mushroom Dansak. I chose the seitan kebab, and both were delicious.
Then we shared a blueberry cheesecake and honest to God, it is now my favourite desert. Unctuous, but light, the vegetarian cream cheese it was made with was a revelation.
Then we had coffee, and the lovely server suggested oatmeal milk, and she wasn't wrong. It gave the coffee a light "creamy" taste.
In short, I now have one very happy bunny hubby, and we now have a new place for payday date night!

Pros: Food - great quality and choice, Staff - friendly and informative, Atmosphere

Cons: None

Fabulous food.

The food is absolutely fantastic. Our table had 4 different dishes (West African Stew, Chili Burrito, Falafel Wrap, Sweet and Sour Hong Kong style) and they were all superb.

The sticky toffee pudding is probably one of the best I have ever had too. The blueberry cheesecake as well... Oh my...

Super venue, just the right size, and a lively ambience. Also spotlessly clean.

Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu

Beautiful Bistro

Just off the seafront in a lovely little parade of shops, is this classy vegan restaurant. Personal, attentive service, great menu, and don't leave without ordering a slice of carrot cake...the best I've ever tasted, and fortunately a generously sized piece !

Great Place with Excellent Food

Formerly the Green Almond, The Green Bros is now a fully vegan eatery. It’s a great little restaurant in a quiet location, a short walk from the town centre but ideally located for theatre goers.
As well as their eat in menu, they also have a take out lunch menu and are planning to add an evening take out menu to this option. There’s also a small kids menu.
The food was varied, tasty and fresh with perfectly sized portions all made by the chef. This establishment does not use microwaves! Certain foods can take a bit longer for this reason, which the friendly staff make you aware off, but it’s well worth the wait.
To compliment the main menu there’s usually a special of the day.
The wines I tasted were some of the nicest I’ve tried. My omni friend is now converted to ‘vegan’ wine!

This eatery comes highly recommended but you need to book to avoid disappointment.

Pros: Vegan, Freshly cooked, Varied menu

Delicious

I love this place! Always busy (pre Covid at least) and have to book to get a table. They have changing menu daily and totally vegetarian with many vegan options and also lots of gluten free as well. Usually a mixture of hot foods, bakes, curries and interesting salads. Can't wait to go back.

Pros: Totally veg and mainly vegan, Gluten free options

Cons: Very busy to eat in

Tasty salad boxes

An independent vegetarian bistro behind the Grand Hotel with vegan options for everything. I'd not visited on previous visits to Eastbourne because they have limited openning hours but recently managed my first visit. They serve the sort of traditional veggie fare that I love - wholesome and delicious. As it is a small space they are currently only offering lunchtime take away salad boxes (and cake and drinks) but the food was all really tasty.

Pros: Tasty salad box, Independent, Close to the sea front

Cons: Not all vegan

Almost vegan!

This place advertises as vegetarian and does still serve some (unnecessary) animal products such as butter with bread, but otherwise all food that was on the buffet was vegan! I would suggest they make the extra step and go fully vegan (replace the few non vegan items).
The food was delicious and the £8 plate was more than enough!

Great lunch

Had to book for lunch in advance during a short stay in Eastbourne as the first time we went along there were no available tables. However it was well worth it. A small restaurant but a great menu and everything seems freshly made. Plenty of choice veggie and vegan, we will go again.

Pros: Fresh food, Wide choice of dishes

The best !

Excellent cafe, the best for vegans in
eastbourne . So popular, that booking is essential ! Health and tasty food with friendly proprietors and staff. I would be there every week if it was easier to get a seat and I lived in the area . They need larger premises.

Pros: so many vegan choices one does not feel second cla, in many vegetarian cafes.

Cons: they need a larger place / to increase the opening

Vegan-friendly Savoury Lunch Buffet

Lunch buffet (small £5 large £8.50) of traditional veggie dishes, most vegan or vegan option available.
Vegan wine and beer.
Good coffee, although soya latte etc not possible unfortunately.
No vegan cakes when I went, very nice flapjack but cake and a latte was what I was craving!
Nice environment and friendly people.

Pros: Vegan savoury Options, Friendly, Pleasant Environment

Cons: Need Vegan Cakes And Lattes!
