Abusive Owner...Customers Beware

The owner likes to boot cars in the lot of her other business after her employees direct people to park there...be prepared to be acosted if you question why you were booted in her lot while spending money in her business. Be prepared to have the cops called if you question further. Gotta love Nashville’s ever growing lack of hospitality and money hungry attitutde!!!

Cons: Racist , Poorly treated employees, Horrible customer service

I'd give it one star if I could.

Three employees spoke to me while I was there. One out of the three was friendly. The entire shop was consistently empty while I ordered and ate. Despite how slow they were, I felt like I was being rushed the entire time; Rushed to order, to eat, and to leave. They weren't able to explain anything on the menu very well. I ended up ordering an array of different things to try, and everything was extremely bland. The plates were colorful, so I had high hopes, but ended up extremely disappointed. If you're a fan of juices, you may find one you'd like, but I did try a few of those as well, and only cared for one.

The areas they expect you to eat are extremely uncomfortable and hard to access if you're not a tall person. The lighting was pretty bad, the menu was hard to see and read. I was just unimpressed, over all.

Cons: The staff wasn't very friendly, Bland food, Uncomfortable eating areas

Lots to offer: tea, food, and more

We stopped in Nashville to grab lunch and I’m glad that we did. I got the mushroom burger and squash-n-mac, with a cup of turmeric chai tea. My friend got the pita and hummus plate. It was all good. I also grabbed some detox tea and stones for the road. Very cute place, great staff and atmosphere.

Pros: Menu items, baked goods, all vegan, Essential oils, stones, Lots of Loose tea.

Cons: Bathroom was not super clean, Disposable plastic water cups

Not fully vegan and bland food

The skinny wrap was really good and I was pleasantly surprised it was a warm wrap - I would order that again but that’s where the positive ends. The smoothie we ordered lacked depth and flavor - it tasted like nondairy milk. The squash n cheese was pretty bland too. Also we bought some snacks from the store and didn’t fully read the label until after we left because we thought it was a fully vegan restaurant and store as advertised but later realized the ingredients said the snacks contained milk. The store did refund our money after we pointed it out to them but just be aware they aren’t fully vegan. Restaurant menu is fully vegan but the snacks sold (manufactured by someone else) are not.

Cons: Not fully vegan as advertised , Bland smoothie

Healthful whole food meals

I ordered delivery from Postmates, so I can't speak to the experience of dining in or ordering at the restaurant. However, my food was delivered earlier than expected.

This is a great place for healthful whole food eating! I love seitan and tofu as much as the next vegan, but I feel my best when I choose a quinoa and black bean burger like Coco Green's over a boca burger. Not to mention, the burger was several dollars cheaper than veggie burgers at some other local restaurants!

Lots of fresh, beautiful vegetables in my meal, and the mac n' squash on the side was seriously delish.

Pros: inexpensive, homemade with whole foods, fresh ingredients

Aaaand...nope.

I walked over here while in town on business, with plenty of time before my next appointment. I placed my order and was told it might take a bit, as they had quite a few orders they were working on. No problem. Fast forward about 30 minutes: the woman who took my order asks if I’m waiting (well, yeah, I’ve been waiting here this entire time, and there’s no one else dining in), she goes to the back and says they’re working on it right now. Cool. Several minutes later someone comes out w/a plate of food and walks past me to deliver it to the person who just recently arrived. I tell the woman at the counter it’s getting to the point I can’t wait much longer. Another worker comes out, they both ask what I ordered, when I ordered it, ask to see my receipt, then say they can make it and have it to me in 5 minutes (so they weren’t actually “working on it” as I was told). I was given a juice for my trouble. 45 minutes after ordering I’m bolting out the door w/my food in hand (that I’ll have to eat much later), and the woman follows me outside to offer a discount card the NEXT time I’m there (I’m from out of town so this isn’t useful). They claim they were slammed w/UberEats orders and my order “must have went out w/one of them”. When I finally ate my food (chick’n salad sandwich w/Mac and squash) I was totally “meh”. In summary, if a person is standing around waiting, perhaps one of the three employees who’ve walked past her several times should check on her order, and when they do, not make up a story that it’s on the way, and then ask what she ordered, and then ask for her receipt to verify. Seems like one of the many crystals they sell here could help with that.

One depressing birthday meal!

Not to be dramatic, but this was the worst vegan restaurant I have EVER eaten at. We were in Nashville to run some errands, and since it was my birthday we decided to try somewhere new. The reviews were great and the menu looked interesting so we decided to give it a chance.

The parking is terrible, not much they can do about that. But just be warned they were in the middle of writing us a ticket as we were coming out, since the food took so long.

Anyway, the space was eclectic. It's in a house so it's not very well laid out. Yet again, not their fault.

So my husband got the mermaid salad with kelp noodles. It was kinda bland, kale could have been massaged more. But it was edible.

Mine on the other hand, I took three bites and just had to walk away. I got the curry bowl. Quinoa was watery and mushy, vegetables were not cooked unevenly. And the sauce? Curry powder that just seemed to be mixed in, gritty and gross. The chickpeas were not good either, even if it was sprouted they tasted wrong.

I couldn't eat anymore, and for $22 for that sad meal plus $2 parking. Don't go, don't ever go. I’ve cross posted this review to a few other sites, it’s important people knew!

Pros: Weird/Interesting stuff for sale around store

Cons: Very expensive, Lack of flavor, Parking

Welcome vegan oasis

We stopped by to get takeout for our dinner (there is only 1 table in this place anyway). While we waited (not long) for our food, they had alkaline water (gratis) available, we shopped, I did a ginger shot and used their nice bathroom. The food was really good! I got a squash Mac & “cheese” that was good and the spaghetti squash lo mein. Beware that they put sesame seeds over a lot, which meant my parents couldn’t eat it (because of diverticular issues). I got a tiny berry crumble dessert; very nice & not too sweet. My daughter’s chickpea wrap was good (she got this from a ready made case they have.)

Pros: Quick, fairly priced & tasty.

Cons: The liberal use of sesame seeds as garnish.

a Little Hippy Shack

Had the most AMAZING breakfast burrito. Ingredients were fresh and the food was really good. They also had a nice selection of kumbucha. I’d recommend going for lunch. I went around 10am and though they were open, it seemed they weren’t really ready for business yet. Definitely at least stop by if you’re in the area.

Pleasantly surprised!

I was a bit apprehensive about trying this restaurant after reading the reviews but I'm glad I decided to try it. Wow, yes, wow the food was very tasty and the portions were big. We all ordered something different and everything had a distinct flavor unlike most vegan restaurants where they tend to use the same formula for every dish. I would highly recommend this place and I definitely will be back!

Pros: raw vegan choices

Cons: minimal seating

Biz trip to Nashville

Okay food. Excellent smoothies.
I wish they would have more gluten free options for the wraps and sandwiches besides making it a salad.
Hard to get breakfast drink until late morning.
They open really late on the weekends.
Had to go to Jamba Juice instead.
Not great for business travelers

Pros: Good smoothies

Cons: Hours are unusual for a restaurant.

Nice vegan place

We enjoyed our lunch at Coco Greens. While it's not the best vegan option in Nashville, it's an authentic cafe & spa that is worth the visit.

Yum - authentic and appropriate

Coco Greens is next to "Cocos" which belongs to them, but Cocos serves Omni dishes. If you wanted to, you could go there with a bunch of friends, sit on the porch and share meals from both locations. Coco Greens is vegan only, they have a nice variety of dishes and juices. I had per recommendation of the nice waitress the "Mermaid's Dinner", which is a raw kelp noodle salad with broccoli, kale, cashew parmesan and lemon basil pesto. It was very delicious!!! I often do this at home now because it is so healthy and really good.
What I didn't like is, that they only have 1 table inside (since me and my friends were the only ones, we were lucky that day). They have in the other rooms some cool stuff you can shop, like crystals, incenses, yoga stuff and so on which to me was really authentic. They also have a huge selection of loose tea you can drink there! I will go again!

Pros: good food, nice staff, authentic

Cons: only 1 table

good food

I went here for breakfast and got the breakfast burrito and a smoothie. The burrito was SO good, I went back later and got another. The smoothie was really fresh, too- the coconut water base was so flavorful, I'm pretty sure they got it straight from a coconut. They sell all kinds of crystals and new age stuff in the store, too, which was fun to walk around and look while waiting on my order (slow service, took about 20 minutes and there was just one other person there). The lady at the counter was really rude and had a clipped tone which I found annoying since I had driven four hours to go here. So the food is good, just need better staff!

*update- went back again to get that amazing bfast burrito and the same girl was working. she seemed much nicer the second time!

Dessert for Breakfast

The breakfast wrap was amazing! I felt like I was eating an peanut butter banana and apple pie.

I plan on returning again before I leave town.

INCREDIBLE FOOD

The breakfast wrap was amazing! Also their desserts are raw! I recommend the Zucchini Brownie. Great service as well. (Restaurant next door is not vegan but also called Coco. Same owners, so find Coco Greens!)

very good food but beware of neighbor!

Beware of the building right next to this place that's called "coco" something... I walked in there super confused. I picked up some cheesecake and a chocolate cheesecake looking thing and almost bought it, then realized that wasn't the restaurant! But anywaysssss. I got the burger that's made with beets and lentils (forgot the name) and it was AMAZING! It came in a green wrap and it was sooooo good.

great great food!

We normally cook 95% of meals at home. After a 3 week cross country road trip, our meal felt like a home cooked meal vs the processed vegan food at a lot of restaurants. It defiantly filled our bellies and souls!

Excellent food. I got the Smashed Chickpea Sandwich and it was one of the best chickpea salad style sandwiches I have ever had. That being said, portion sizes were a bit small for the price point. A lot of the holistic products they had in stock were very fairly priced, however.

Pros: great food

Cons: somewhat pricey, especially on a budget

Very Good Food!

We were passing through and found lunch on HappyCow. Great little find. We were confused at first because it is located inside the symmetry center and there was no sign for the cafe, but were pleased to find the cafe when we entered. The portions were good and the prices were low. The four of us enjoyed our food. Nothing tasted like it was supposed to, but everything was great. Thanks!

Pros: 100% Vegan , Good Prices , Portion Sizes

Cons: None!

This place is so awesome!

We got great juices, and a beet veggie burger. They also sell crystals and cool rocks if you're into that sort of thing. It's a very healthy and high quality place. Highly recommended!

Pros: Quality, Unique, Juices and food
