I really wanted to like the food

The atmosphere and friendly staff were amazing. I just found the food dry & bland. I had the breakfast and have never had a drier tofu scramble.

yummy fresh food

Really enjoyed our meal here and we were able to sit outside with the dogs.
I had a tofu burger which was tasty. With fresh salad, seasoned lightly on a toasted bun. Hit the spot!
There are soups as well, today's was lentil and lemon. Also there was a curry on the menu today. Coffee was lovely. Service was friendly and the place had plenty of trade on this weekday.

Pros: fresh , healthy, vegan options

Cons: food took a while to come out

Great little place

Shared the buckwheat pancakes and they were so yummy. The lady even split up the pancakes and put them on separate plates for us without us asking. Can't wait to go back and try all the other options

Pros: Fresh and delicious

Cons: Small vegan menu. Not open on weekends

Great lil cafe

This place is a steadfast favourite of mine. Its really easy to get to from the CBD and shopping centres. While the opening times can be a little annoying on the weekends (they stop cooking an hour before closing on most days), the food is always superb. I love the G salad with tofu (its incredible). The vegan desserts are decent but there isn't a large range (usually one or two items). I would really recommend coming here - just check the opening times beforehand if coming on the weekend.

Pros: The food + service, Location, The G Salad

Cons: Opening Hours

Dripping

We came here for lunch and I ordered the tofu burger ($14.50), which, while relatively cheap, was not at all good. It generally lacked flavour and was absolutely dripping with beetroot juice (not a pool but a flood). The bun was a slightly dry, unpleasant texture, possibly suggesting it wasn’t that fresh. My companion had the sweet potato soup (of the day, $15) and reported it was quite good, not overly sweet. I also had a very nice berry smoothie, tasty and with body, but I would not get excited about coming back.

Pros: Good smoothie

Cons: Tofu burger not appetising

Great little place!

Veg places are a bit thin on the ground in Geelong, so it was a pleasant surprise to find this little cafe. Everything is a bit compact, there's not many tables, and the menu is limited, but everything is good quality and tasty. Quick and friendly service too. Easily one of the best Vegie burgers we have had, and the felafel wrap was nice too, all topped off with some excellent raw cakes, Mmm!

Pros: Friendly service , Clean, fresh and tasty, The raw cakes

Cons: Small space, Too far from my place

Small menu, great dessert

I came here for lunch for the first time yesterday. They had 4 menu items, 3 of which were vegan or could be made vegan. I ordered the t-bird which was a tofu vegan burger. The filling was both tasty and, well filling! I also liked the bun they toasted it on. I also had the Pina colada raw vegan slice which was one of the nicest, freshest things I've eaten.
The staff were nice. I like the setup, a few tables inside and out. I'd definitely go back.
They also had fruit drinks which I might try next time.

Great little place in Geelong

Have been here a few times when shopping at the Organic Larder and loved the feel of the place. It's small but they manage to put out good food and always served with a smile. Well done guys!

What a cafe should be

This is a cafe that seems more Brunswick than Geelong. The menu is simple but with imaginative combinations, the coffee good, the juices fresh. Every day there are specials. Ask for vegan food and you are understood, and there will be a vegan hot dish of the day. There are always choices, a hearty soup, a tofu burger, something tasty with quinoa . . . You will not be disappointed, and if you go back, you will be greeted as a regular. There are a couple of tables out on the pavement, and a few more inside, but food is served quickly and there's a speedy turnover, though you can also linger over a coffee and read the newspapers - though you couldn't call the stools and benches comfortable for a long stay. Children seem welcome. It seems to have become wholly vegetarian with vegan food clearly marked and promoted.
There is also a large organic shop next door, with a wide range from fruit and veg to organic wines.
There's a sign announcing Friday evening opening in October 2015.

Pros: lots of vegan choices, large portions, welcoming atmosphere

Cons: no lock on the toilet door - why?
