Not cheap but good selection

Fruits abound here (unfortunately many wrapped in plastic) and ok but not cheap-as prices. Good fruit juices and shakes too. Sam's deli next door also has some veg/vegan options

Fresh fruit! Vegan oasis in KL Sentral food desert

If you have to change your train/bus/LRT at Kuala Lumpurs busy KL Sentral station and are hungry, you will quickly realize that - as a vegan or vegetarian - you are more or less stranded in a desert that does not offer much nourishment, as you most likely do not want to go to KFC, McDonalds, BurgerKing or similar.

There is one cafe, Pannettone, but this only offers few vegan options, and might be closed when it is late at night.

If you do have a few minutes, then you might consider using the skybridge to walk over to the new NU Sentral mall that is adjacent to KL Sentral (over the street). Here you find an abundance of fresh fruits and juices at MBG fruits, at moderate (not exactly cheap, but affordable) prices.

Hopefully in the future there will also be other vegan- and vegetarian-friendly, but right now, MGB fruits makes it worth taking the few minutes to cross the street and escape the bustle of the busy train station.

Pros: Healthy & delicious Fresh fruit & juices

Cons: Slightly higher prices
