I had a vegan burrito and it was super good. Also the homemade lemonades and ice teas are excellent. They also serve cakes and coffee and let’s face it: What more can you ask for?!

Read moreDas Essen war in Ordnung aber auch nichts besonderes. An den mit veganem Käse überbackenen Tortillas sollte jedoch nochmals justiert werden. Die waren sehr trocken und hatte ich in anderen Restaurants schon sehr viel besser. Dafür war der Glühwein und die Chai Latte super lecker.
Die Atmosphäre in dem Restaurant war angenehm und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl - weshalb ich mich dann auch für die höhere Bewertung entschied.

Sehr sympathisches gemütliches vegetarisch-veganes Restaurant mit studentischem Flair. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an veganen Speisen, sodass die Entscheidung immer schwerfällt. Bisher war alles super lecker, ich empfehle auch die Nachos mit veganem Käse als Vorspeise! Die Portionen sind groß und die Preise günstig. Außerdem gibt es immer ein günstiges wechselndes Tagesessen.

Das Essen ist richtig lecker!
Da das Restaurant ganz gut besucht ist, muss man sich gelegentlich bei anderen Besucher:innen dazusetzen, aber so lernt man ja Menschen kennen :)

Some minor criticism: the tabouleh is very heavy on the bulgur and comes with little parsley and seasoning, so it's rather dry. And so is the black bean burger, so I wouldn't recommend the first as a side of the latter.
Read moreOther than that: great stuff all around! And great staff, too! The people are friendly and enthusiastic and seemed very happy to inform us that every dish is available in vegan, too. And so we had vegan quesadillas, vegan burger and vegan enchiladas. The burger: good, albeit a bit dry. Quesadillas: superb! It's really not special, but superdelicious. The enchiladas: very sauce, very cheese, very nom! The texture of the filling could have been a bit more firm, though. Maybe throw in some chopped up black bean patties? Just a random idea. I also think it's great they are part of the reCircle network, so the takeout containers cost 10 € deposit, are reusable and can be returned at every other reCircle network partner (like Roman's, Mahalo or Glückstein), and their take-out cutlery is made of wood, so you can take your food, walk two minutes to the Jungbuschpromenade and sit next to the water, enjoying animal-friendly food in sustainable dishes.
So all in all: the main dishes were only 90% convincing, so that's why it only gets 4 stars from me. Everything else was great and maybe I'll be persuaded to hand out that last star on further visits. I'm definitely looking forward to those.

This place offers all-vegetarian food which can easily be made vegan. It serves dishes like falafel, salads, wraps, enchiladas, burritos and bowls. I had the falafel plate for take away. It consisted of falafel, tabouleh, tofu, salad, grilled vegetables, hummus, bread and sesame sauce. It was really delicious and a good portion for 8,50€. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area to try more of the menu!

One of my favorite restaurants - Edit
A small and familiar vegetarian and vegan restaurant with bar atmosphere in Mannheim "Jungbusch". They have a standard menu and also a daily dish everyday. I really love it. Unfortunately the parking there isn't that easy. Friendly staff. Really busy on the weekend.

The Kombüse cannot go unnoticed if you want a good, cheap vegan restaurant. The waiters are super cool and friendly, the deco kind of punk. The dishes are really huge and it is one of the cheapest restaurants in town. A definate recommendation!

At the Kombüse, I had the meal of the day, a Mexican plate. All in all, it was tasty, but the parsnips were a little burned. Furthermore the bread was missing. But the staff was very kind and I liked the place, even though it was a bit noisy. At last I have to say that the price-performance ratio is very good.

Amazing vegan food at low prices - Edit
I had the Beluga Bowl, which I absolutely loved! It offered a variety of delicious and healthy foods and was very filling - and only cost about 7 euros! I also had a vegan hot chocolate with oat milk, which was beautifully frothy and not too sweet at all, which I really liked. Actually, maybe it was completely unsweetened because they placed a sugar sprinkler on our table. I also sneaked a taste of my companion´s vegan chocolate and almond cake, which tasted very chocolate-y, but too dry for my taste. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Definitely my favourite eating-out place in Mannheim!

One of THE places to go in Mannheim! Vegetarian place, but vegan in its core. All dishes can be made vegan, most of the time the dish of the day is vegan (or sometimes there's a vegetarian AND a vegan version of it), the soup of the day is always vegan I think and the changing cake (always just one) is also vegan all the time. The menu is not the biggest, but includes some amazing dishes, like the falafel plate. (Specify you want the vegan version, because there's a vegetarian, a vegan, and a gluten-free version of it.) In summer, they might even have homemade ice-cream (e.g. for iced coffee). And their prices are very reasonable.
