Incredible vegan society - Edit
The Christchurch Vegan Society is amazing. They have so many things on for vegans. Last weekend I attended the Vegan Ball and it was the best night I've had in ages. I also attended the Vegan Markete this weekend. I saw so many people I knew and the food and vibe was fantastic. The Vegan Society run pot lucks and dinners and movie nights. My children have attended the Vegan Youth Group. A friend of mine passed away and on my doorstep arrived some beautiful baking from Vegan Angels. The Vegan Society have a stall at most of the expos in the city (Green Expo, Womens Expo, Body Mind and Health Expo etc). On top of that they run the Vegan Expo yearly in Christchurch. A fantastic day of eating, stalls, workshops, talks and cooking demonstrations. Also every 2 years they run Vegan Camp. What an excellent way to socialize and eat the best Vegan food. I just can't rate The Christchurch Vegan Society high enough and I feel blessed to live in a city where we have so much available for vegans.

Active, inclusive group in Christchurch. The word vegan is becoming more and more mainstream thanks to the efforts of the members of the CVS. Changing attitudes towards veganism are really noticeable with more and more restaurants including vegan options on their menu. You rock!

The CVC (Christchurch Vegetarian Centre) organizes lots of events and activities for all age groups - the NZ-wide known "vegetarian expo", vegan dine outs, vegan kids groups, bi-monthly vegan potlucks (in collaboration with the Christchurch Vegans and Friends Facebook Community), and a lot more. Christchurch's face of Vegetarianism and Veganism - Edit
Friendly and approachable organisation that is the very hub of Vegetarianism and Veganism in Christchurch. Organisers of the Veggie Expo once a year you will also see members of the CVC at other events, including their very own dining groups that are so varied every need is fulfilled. They also run a book group, walking/running group and meditation, to name just a few more.

We all know how difficult it is to get Vegan /Veggie food, the CVC help where they can with not only some goods of their own for sale but also an informative website.
