So also uses a sitar that has a bridge made of barasingha antler, an endangered deer species native to Nepal and a part of India. Synthetic bridges are made now that don't wear down nearly as fast. But she prefers the sound of an animal that hunted to make sitar bridges. Watch the video.
She's not a vegan. I'm a sitarist myself and love a lot of her music but she's maybe vegetarian at most. I was rooting for her to be vegan but this is misleading. Also she wears some animal products unless her suede boots are faux.
