Abraham Lincoln was rumored to be a vegetarian Former President of the United States

Lived: February 12, 1809

"I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being" -Abraham Lincoln

While Abe was in support of animal rights, there is no evidence that he was veg.

Stop propagating things that are demonstrably false. The Lincoln quote has been demonstrated to be apocryphal.

As far as I know, he was quoted as saying "I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. Animals should not be consumed but should be viewed as prized gifts from God. That is the way of a whole human being." However, to say that he was a veg'n because he made that quote is a stretch. It merely means that he was in favor of it, but whether he would realistically have been able to lead that lifestyle is highly dubious.

Abraham Lincoln was NOT a vegetarian... he was a great man, but he does not need to be on this list. Please correct the list.
Thanks.
