## Two Strap Toe Peg Sandals The strap arrangement is what makes these sandals. A toe-post sits between the first and second toes and runs back diagonally across the foot, meeting a second strap over the instep. Instead of two parallel bands you get a crossed line running corner to corner, which holds the foot properly and looks less predictable than the standard two-strap slide. The straps and footbed come in a warm dark brown against the sand tone of the cork. The instep buckle is solid metal in an antique brass finish, adjustable through the strap holes so you can set the fit exactly where you want it. Its aged tone is warmer and less shiny than a bright metal would be. Underneath is the reason you'll keep wearing them: a deep, shock absorbing cork footbed layered with soft vegan suede, contoured with a proper arch and a deep heel cup, so your foot is held rather than just carried. The cork takes an impression of your foot over the first few wears and keeps it, so the fit gets more personal the longer you have them. Beneath that sits a cork midsole with a grippy rubber tread that can be worn on a variety of surfaces. The flecks of colour you can see in the rubber are left visible rather than hidden.
