Delicious Deli - Edit
We had a great experience at this deli. Super friendly and fast service. The lady who helped us (possibly the owner) pointed out all their vegan options. I went with the daily special- heirloom tomato BLT, made vegan with mushrooms and vegan mayo. Bought the black and white cookie, so good and soft!! Perfect stop for a mixed group of vegan and omnivores.

Terrible experience - Edit
They have a vegetarian bagel sandwich called the Veggie Frankl and I asked if they could make it vegan by leaving off the egg and using vegan shmear instead of dairy cheese. They went to consult with the kitchen and came back to tell me no. They offered to give me a plain toasted bagel, to which I was a bit offended. I said I would have a bagel with vegan shmear and they said they didn’t offer vegan shmear. I pointed to the fact that their menu says they have vegan shmear. They didn’t believe it and went to ask the kitchen again. The line was getting long behind me and I was so embarrassed. Finally someone took my order. They recommended not toasting the bagel and I agree with this recommendation. The bagel was fresh and warm and the outside was slightly crisp. It was an excellent bagel and the vegan shmear was pretty good too (although they put way too much on it and I usually like more shmear). But the experience here was so embarrassing and so unfriendly that I can’t recommend it. They also don’t have smoked tofu on their menu anymore.

Smoked tofu! - Edit
I haven’t tried the vegan smoked tofu reuben on the menu but they made me a bagel sandwich with smoked tofu and avocado and veggies. The cashier was super helpful and went out of her way to help me put together a vegan bagel sandwich. The smoked tofu is super tasty. One star off for not having a vegan cream cheese option.

Horrible service, mediocre food - Edit
Not worth your time. Food is overpriced and mediocre. Service is bad and worse if you encounter the insecure and mean owner. Avoid.
