Read moreMy party of two stopped in for lunch on a Saturday after Christmas. The place has a fun retro boutiquey vibe and a terrace with party chairs and a foosball table that was closed in December. We sat inside on the lower floor and ordered a couple of apple-carrot-ginger+ "estratti", pancakes with maple syrup and berries, a burrito with ragú and red cabbage, a portion of "mythical" patate Zavelose, and a blueberry tart with vegan whipped cream.
The estratti -- theoretically freshly pressed juice -- were actually whole fruits and veggies pulverized in the Thermomix and diluted with water. The result felt like a mouthful of mealy apple and sawdust and tasted not much better. Thankfully, the overextended waiter offered to exchange them for one of the milky comfort drinks, which was pleasant but underspiced.
The pancakes (vegan and gluten free) brought considerably more joy to the table, though they too weren't pancakes in the usual sense. The two dense, chewy brown disks of soaked rolled oats, cocoa, and maybe some banana (Thermomix again, I suspect) were not unpleasant, especially with fresh blackberries and raspberries. But do not order them if you expect the fluffier variations known in the USA, Netherlands, or central Europe.
Although the burrito also suffered from a misleading name, it was just as well. I expected it as it was, a modestly sized wrap filled with a tasty ragú of textured soy protein (I think), sofrito italiano (minced carrot, celery, and onion), and tomato, all rolled up with sauteed red cabbage.
The potatoes deserve a disapproving paragraph of their own. Not only did they not live up to their "mythical" tag in the menu, they were downright sad. Roasted wedges forgotten under the warmer, practically unsalted, accompanied by a miniscule amount of overly sweet salsa rosa... thanks again to the kind waiter for bringing another round of sauce to lubricate the damage.
The meal concluded with a handsome blueberry tart topped with vegan whipped cream and a sprinkle of flower petals -- the only gluten-free pastry available at the time. The filling was too sweet for out taste, but maybe not for everyone. The crust was grainy and suspiciously chewy, maybe another unpleasant child of the Thermomix.
Since this is only real veg place in town, we hope the kitchen was having a bad day and things are usually better. But we won't be back to find out.

It is a vegetarian bike bar and on the menu they offer many vegan options savory and sweet. The atmosphere is chilled and the staff is nice. I've come here many times and every time is even better. I tried the hummus plate and it was nice, a big portion! I also tried a fruit and veggie extract and I liked it. Their baked potatoes are amazing as well as their middle east plate. I also tried their cake and the pitachio-chocolate cake was very yummy! I highly recommend to eat here if you are in Ancona. I will definitely come back again.

Great veggie cafe with lots of vegan options. Ancona is not particularly vegan friendly so this was a great find! Beautiful, fun decor and friendly staff. Food was delicious and fresh and coffee was great!

Se siete in zona, non perdetevelo, che sia per un pranzo, una cena, il brunch del weekend o un aperitivo, ne vale proprio la pena.

Siamo andati per un brunch con amici, tutti molto soddisfatti. Bella varietà di proposte, molto curato l'impiattamento. Molto buoni e freschi il club sandwich e il Mexican style; proposta vegetariana interessante é il waffle toast con un particolare waffle al basilico. Imperdibili le PataZaV!!!

Read moreRiguardo al locale l'idea di base è molto carina, quella della mobilità lenta e della sostenibilità in generale. Ciò che mi è piaciuto di più sono stati la presenza di una libreria per il book sharing, l'utilizzo di materiali di recupero e la cura dell'estetica dei piatti, si vorrebbe assaggiare tutto. Quello che mi è piaciuto meno è stato mangiare davanti a un poop desk con la porta che non si poteva chiudere.
Consiglio di provare i dolci e il brunch nel weekend.

Consiglio vivamente di andare da Zucchero a Velo.Personale cordiale ti accoglie nella colorata ed inusuale cornice di questo inusuale locale.Le pietanze proposte sono buone, alcune per palati amanti le spezie, ed altre per gli amanti dei piatti tradizionali quali i burger.I dolci sono un po’ zuccherati in particolare il crumble di mele ed albicocche.In zona uno dei migliori ristoranti vegani.

I’ve had Vegan cakes, sweets, ice creams etc in many different locations and countries but this is probably the best ever. The average quality of their sweets is really top level.
