Great soup and sandwich - Edit
Vegan soup and (large) tasty sandwich option plus several sweet treats available(although we were too full to try. Service quick and friendly.

Five Stars for Zoe’s Bakery Where Artistry Meets Ethics in an Arena of Deliciousness in Magical Ucluelet - Edit
I may have asked the impossible of pastry chef owner, Zoe Jordan, & her team at Zoe’s Bakery & Cafe in magical Ucluelet, located on Canada’s West Coast, but she delivered, overdelivered, in fact, with a custom cake best described as sublime.

It was coming on Valentine’s Day & Family Day long-weekend & I wanted something special to recognize my wonderful family.
The creation was certainly special, both delicious & aesthetically pleasing, with my son & his family proclaiming it - the best, beautiful, amazing & very delicious.
My granddaughter, T, gave me further tasting notes.
After remarking that it was very delicious, she added she so liked the caramel middle & the buttercream filling which was very soft & fluffy.
I had asked Zoe to make a cake based on a chocolate cake I had made for my son’s first birthday which was double-layered with a dulche de leche filling & covering of the cake, which I repeated many times during his childhood after its successful first run.
From the wonderful discussion we had on the phone, I knew that my vision was in good hands.
I had requested this time the cake be made in four layers, ascending & narrowing upward, denoting the four members in my son’s wonderful family with this chocolate tower symbolizing their love, unity & commitment.
I also asked that each layer have the name initial from my son’s at the bottom, through my daughter-in-law’s, granddaughter’s & grandson’s, & this she did wonderfully with white chocolate name initials set against the dark chocolate.
It was heavenly.
It was memorable.
It looked just as T had described it - “very delicious”.

Everyone should have a custom cake from Zoe’s Bakery on their bucket list.
It is definitely five ⭐️
Zoe’s Bakery is also known & loved for the savory food it makes - from sandwiches, through soups & much else, with vegan options available.
And it looks out over beautiful Ukee Inner Harbor.
Food is made fresh daily &
where possible, ingredients sourced locally as well as organic.
Zoe eschews food wastage, donating food not sold on the day to the local food bank.
It discusses its ethics & lists its suppliers & partners on its website.
It is open daily from 8am to 4pm.
Always worth a visit.

Fresh and delicious - Edit
Visited a few times during our stay in Ucluelet, loved their daily grain bowl and vegan sandwich, so fresh and delicious! Their espresso shots will also give you a kick to your day!!
