Great and delish vegan food! - Edit
Had a lovely lunch today! Food was delish and seasoned nicely. It was a great vegan option in St Andrews! Definitely would come again. Has separate vegan menu.

La pizza était vraiment délicieuse, le fromage est fondant et les boulettes aux aubergines succulentes. J'ai demandé un supplément pesto qui était clairement labellisé vegan.

I was really craving some pasta and saw the lentil ragu option here on this app so off we went to Zizzi.
Read moreWe told the staff we were vegan and that was all fine, we used the app to make our order. However the only vegan pasta dish was on the paper menu but not appearing on the app. So we asked the staff who let us know it was unavailable today and the past few days. Felt a bit disappointed that this was not mentioned earlier when we sat down as I would have preferred to try somewhere else as I was really really craving a big bowl of pasta!
But we had our drinks at this point so instead we had pizza. Sadly probably the worst vegan pizza I've had. Far too much vegan cheese - you would bite down and feel it all squish around in your mouth as there was just too much of it. I usually like vegan pizza but this was just not nice. Couldn't eat very much of it. Overall a bit disappointed and was still craving pasta 🤣

Zizzi has a separate vegan menu. I've been to the St Andrews restaurant a few times and I've always found it good. The quality is excellent and the service and atmosphere are always good. Fairly expensive for what it is but generally a good investment. Could have more vegan options.

Expensive: the size of the dish and ingredients, they should drop the price down. 2-main course never fill your tummy up.

Taste: pasta was very bland and no seasoning available on the table. Pizza was small with this price, only 1 basil leaf on Margharita.

I ordered the zucca pizza which was not very good at all. The caramelized onions that was all over the pizza has no place in Italian food. However, the waiter was very kind and the wine was very good which is why this is place got 2 stars and not one.

It was a crispy cold Saturday night in December. Absolutely crammed with students. How can they afford it? I certainly couldn't back here in the 90's. The vegan garlic bread was delicious, smothered with whole roast garlic cloves. The Zucca pizza was good but I should have eliminated the caramelised onions. Just no need for them. The spag pomodoro was lovely if a little more runny than usual. I do think there a better Zizzi's out there. In fact I know there are.

Vegan-Friendly pizzas and also available with vegan cheese! (Mozzarisella) and there are a few other options including pasta and vegan gelato! Just ask for the vegan menu.
