Zizzi

Heard many good things about Zizzi's new-ish vegan options but it was hard to look past the cheaper prices offered at Village Pizza... however, sometimes you need to dine out rather than get takeaway and I would definitely come back to Zizzi Kingston for those occasions!

Be sure to ask for the dedicated vegan menu. We shared garlic bread as a starter, each got a Rustica pizza with 3 toppings (highly recommend the balsamic tomatoes!), and ordered Tuscan potatoes and tenderstem broccoli as sides. We were both really happy with our garlic bread starter and our pizzas, and although the Tuscan potatoes were perfectly cooked they could have done with a little more seasoning. The broccoli, unfortunately, was very under-seasoned and seemed to have just been steamed, so I wouldn't order this again.

Unfortunately we weren't hungry enough for dessert but I plan to return even if only to try the vegan dessert calzone!

The atmosphere in this Zizzi is really pleasant, and the service was truly excellent - they got one of my partner's pizza toppings wrong (easy mistake) and happily took it back to make again without a fuss. A nice touch was that they took mine back too and kept it warm. Although the food may be on the expensive side, it's always good to have a high street name you can easily and reliably order vegan food at.
