Terrible service, no understanding of vegan, very limited options

Save your money go somewhere else.
The only 2 options on the sushi menu as vegan both have cream cheese. When I said that's not vegan, can it be done without waitress got a bit [censored]. Basically all I could get was 2 different configurations of avocado with sushi rice - no other veggies included. The one that was meant to have cucumber in it didnt have any in it at all. Didn't come with any wasabi or soy or dipping sauce at all.
Super disappointing overall.

Cons: Staff don't understand vegan, Menu mislabelled , Not enough options

Delicious sushi - note the restaurant is more Italian now

Very fresh, tasty sushi. When I arrived only the Italian menu was promoted - had to ask for Sushi menu. There’s limited choice but what they do, they do very well. Make sure to ask for vegan sushi to be vegan (otherwise it has cream cheese); there’s also avocado sushi and another lovely avo dish.

Be aware of the “vegan options”

The staff are not really knowledgable about vegan options. The items on the menu were labeled vegan. After reading the ingredients on this dishes, I realized they were not vegan at all as they contained cream cheese, eggs, and mayo.

We opted for the vegan sushi dish. Please note that the vegan sushi contains cream cheese. We informed the staff that we wanted the vegan sushi dish plain, without any cream or mayo in our rolls.

They sushi dish came out beautifully! We enjoyed it with soy sauce and wasabi.

Not informed

They told us that they had vegan options which we then ordered and then it turned out that Ive got a sauce with creme in it. Didnt even apologize. My wife ordered a dish where she just wanted the fish to be left out. But then forgot some other ingredients.

All you can eat lunch with lots of vegan options

We went for the advertised lunch offer all you can eat for 14 or 15 EUR depending if you use the buffet for self service (cheaper) or order at the table. I would recommend to order at the table because than you can customize every meal. You get an order list where you write down numbers of food that you choose from the menu and there is a lot to choose from when it comes to sushi and other asian starters. Staff is knowledgable about veganism and recommended us to write down for example "vegan, without salmon, etc." which is what we did. The avocado california sushi was one of the best I ever had. Also we enjoyed the wakame salad, tempura veggies and miso soup all unlimited. The staff were attentive and were coming for new orders often. We left very satisfied.

Pros: great value, excellent sushi and japanese , attentive staff

Not to recommend

Staff didn't know about vegan options and was overchallenged. Then they proposed Spaghetti with tomato sauce, after I asked if there would be also something else the waiter proposed the Spaghetti w seafood without seafood and without sauce (to veganize it) after I mentioned that this sounds very dry I proposed a pizza without cheese but with some veggies and green pepper. He confirmed but didn't write it down and I already expexted what was coming next. I got the pizza later and of course the green pepper was missing. Altogether it was “ok“ but wouldn't recommend to go there, there are better places in Venice for vegan food. Also my vegetarian boyfriend was not convinced from his pizza.

Pros: Good location, very central

Cons: Staff doesn't know vegan options , And makes questionable proposals

Really tasty and knowledgeable staff

I went here by chance and asked whether there were vegan options and the host guided me to about 15 items on the menu that were vegan and could be made vegan. The food looked quite simple but was delicious!

Pros: Many vegan options, Knowledgeable staff to make options vegan, Simple looking but delicious food
