Pricey, small portions and also sells meat - Edit
I ordered “large” cali burrito which was very small and I was still hungry afterwards. It costs 18$ I think they should offer better portions for the price. It tasted good and it was quickly prepared . Note : This is not vegan restaurant they offer hot regular and vegan menus

Vegan Restaurant IN a Meat-centric Restaurant - Edit
Ziggy’s has turned into essentially a vegan menu only in a Sylvester’s burger joint. Be extremely careful about the menu you order off of, and specify clearly that you want all vegan.
Read moreThe food is decent American junk/fast food basically. It’s good if you have a craving for it. This area has extremely limited vegan options, so this is a nice choice to have at least.
Pros: Good amount of vegan options
Cons: No longer it’s own restaurant , Easy to confuse Ziggy’s with Sylvester’s

Veggie burgers - Edit
Ask for the plant base menu, my husband ordered the Phenix which he enjoyed. I ordered the mushroom burger, was good, a bit salty and wouldn’t hold together to pick up to eat. But over all a good place to get a plant base burger. We order the ziggy burgers which are black bean, Impossible Burgers are also available.

Cons: Small restaurant, not a lot of ambiance.

The entire order was actual meat!!!!! - Edit
There is a huge menu when you walk in and we ordered. I went up after we ordered to ask about why there wasn't Mexican food on the menu but online there was. She said it was two different restaurants which we would have never known had I not asked about the Mexican food after we ordered. I am so horrified that we are just walking out right now and will never return.

Cons: They serve me and don't even ask if you want vegan

I hope this helps, but there's 2 separate menus, one for Ziggy's, and one for Sylvester's burgers, which does have some vegan options, but most of their burgers/menu items are animal based. I'm sorry to hear the server didn't explain/clarify that when you ordered, that is very misleading. I'm sorry you had this negative experience. The joining of the two restaurants is still fairly new in this community and I don't think everyone knows yet. I wish the restaurants would more clearly explain that to customers.

No longer totally vegan - Edit
Always made a stop at ziggy’s on the drive between LA and the Bay Area but I was disappointed to see that they are now being taken over by a non vegan restaurant. They maintain separate menus but share the kitchen. Customers wishing to order vegan now have to order from a self-serve kiosk outside. The smell of cooking meat also makes it unpleasant to sit inside.

Solid fast food option - Edit
We stopped here for a quick bite on a long drive. A really solid option if you’re looking for good food that will fill you up - the Ziggy patty has a really unique and delicious flavour.

Favorite vegan spot in the area - Edit
Update June 2025:
Read moreZiggy‘s now shares the place with a non-vegan burger place called Sylvester’s. That’s a little irritating as Ziggys name is just on posters but not on the building.
But still the whole Ziggy’s menu is available.
We’ve been at Ziggy’s multiple times and love it. Everything is very tasty, unfortunately most thing are quite spicy. We are spice-weaklings and order the sauces on the side.
The milk shakes are sooo good! A little pricey though. Once they had like a Pina Colada-milkshake, a dream! The Oreo-one is great, too.
Our other favorites are the Crunchwrap Supreme, the dirty fries, onion rings and all the burgers with the impossible burger. (The Ziggy patty is very bean-y.)
TIP: Taco Tuesday’s: get a free taco (with fries avocado or fried cauliflower) with online orders on Tuesdays.
They have a couple tables inside and outside. Also sell merchandise (shirts, hats, dog scarfs).
Free street parking outside the restaurant is very convenient.

Shockingly overpriced - Edit
Ordered one breakfast burrito and the total came out to a whopping $21. They asked if I wanted small or large, so I ordered the large thinking it would at least be a hearty portion for the price. The burrito ended up being about as big as my hand. Tasted ok but nothing creative or special about it that warrants a price like that. Their space is also shared with a hamburger spot, which is a weird choice for a fully vegan restaurant. If you’re in Paso Robles just go to somewhere like The Vreamery and get an amazing value for your money.

Just FYI, Ziggy's and Sylvester's have combined forces at all 4 of their locations, so the full menu for both restaurants is available.

Good but pricey - Edit
All the food that we had was quite good, well seasoned. However it was on the expensive side for what you get, both quality and quantity-wise.

So good, right off the highway! - Edit
My family of 4 did a SD, LA, SF road trip in December that (among other things) involved hitting all the elite vegan restaurants in those cities. Somehow this small place that we randomly stopped at for lunch between LA and SF became one of our favorites.
Read moreBetween the 4 of us we had a cauliflower bowl, a couple salads, a few burgers, fries, and buffalo bites. All of it was REALLY good, the Ziggy burger is awesome. They had great soft serve and milkshakes too. Unexpectedly awesome. Nothing crazy or super unique. Just a delicious lunch

So good. The breakfast burrito is amazing. I really like the salsa it comes with. I wish the burrito was bigger that’s the only thing. The carnitas fries are sooo tasty too. Pretty good cookies too

Great vegan junk food - Edit
The burger and dirty fries really hit the spot. So glad that there’s an all-vegan restaurant on my drive up to Monterey.
Read moreThe only thing I’d change is all the packaging. We ate there but were given the food in a stapled paper bag with takeout containers, which is just really wasteful.

I'm thinking of bringing my own containers to restaurants so the waste doesn't happen so much 🤔

Tasty burgers - Edit
A very cute restaurant. We were with our dog and decided to get take out and eat it at the park just one block down. Service was quick. We tried the Phoenix and the Old 58. Both were big burgers and the phoenix was actually pretty spicy. My husband wished they came with a side but I think for the size of the burger it was a good price ($13-15 per burger).

Awesome food on the way to San Francisco - Edit
The food is so good. Such a great place to stop on the way up to San Francisco. The Ratchet fries were amazing--i just wish they had a little more impossible on them. Their ranch is great. The taquitos are next level good. Highly recommended. The staff were very friendly.

Tasty guilty fast food pleasures - Edit
Good selection with creative interpretations of some classic fast food dishes. Had the Old 58 burger with their own bean patty, which had a nice crunch and good flavour. The crunch wrap supreme was a great combo of flavours and textures. Perfect for a takeaway as there are nice spaces nearby and everything can be eaten hand to mouth.

Delightful veganess in the middle of nowhere - Edit
The Old 58 with the Ziggy patty was good and saucy - BBQ sauce and ranch, though I didn’t really taste the ranch. The patty was good and had black beans and corn. The crunchwrap supreme was delicious and the crunch is a great texture. Easy to eat on the go. The chocolate chip cookie was also good - on the crunchy side and satisfying. Friendly staff, 1 outdoor table, and some indoor seating, but we ordered to go and walked across the street to a nice park and ate there.

Good Deep Fried Food, A Lot of Packaging - Edit
I stopped here on my way though Paso and really appreciated an all vegan pit stop on 101. The food is good and very deep fried if that’s what you want. I got the KCK which was tasty, my wife got the Caesar salad which was too heavy on the croutons. The onion rings were on point, and I loved the avocado egg rolls.
Read moreI was a bit put off by how much packaging there was on our dine in order. It is called “take out” but if people dine in do they really need the industrial strength packaging just to rip it apart and throw away?
Pros: Only all vegan spot for miles , Good comfort food, Fast
Cons: Too much packaging, Caesar salad was more croutons than salad

The best vegan guilty pleasure! - Edit
We eat here pretty much any time we're in Paso. Not super cheap, but super tasty! This time I tried the avocado egg rolls and they were delicious! Also shared the carnitas fries and the kiddo got her usual chicken sandwich buffalo style. Also tried their current special which is vegetable lumpia! Also tried the swirl soft serve for the first time and it did not disappoint. So excited to try all the things on the menu.
