Comida rica opciones veganas

Hemos comido un plato de fideos con verduras y un arroz con "pollo" (soja) muy ricos. El servicio es bueno y hay bastantes opciones. Es recomendable.

Pros: Comida , Servicio

This restaurant has a extensive menu. Quite a large place, not very cosy. You sit on round tables.

Pros: 100% vegetarian, A lot of vegan options, Extensive menu

Affordable excellent flavour

I had a Indo satay bento, my wife had a mee claypot. Both was surprisingly good. We only paid 27R for those.

Just ok

I’ve had clay pot mee which was fine, the portion was big. They have wide variety of fake meat, including fish, chicken. When my friend wanted to charge their mobile phone in the restaurant, they wanted her to pay 5 MYR 🤦‍♀️

Delicious foods

This place has a wide variety of vegetarian options that are very delicious! I love chicken with rice, one of their signature dishes. Big restaurant and the atmosphere is good.

Lots of choice & delicious!

Had the chicken rice which was made from wheat (I think seitan) and it was absolutely delicious and only 8.5RM. Some of the tastiest fake chicken I’ve had! Lots of meat alternative options such as noodles, rice dishes, bento etc.

Staff were very friendly and explained the menu for us. Food was quick and fresh.

Bento sets for the win

This place has a big variety of dishes but I definitely wanted to eat a bento set. I ordered the Thai style tofu set and my brother the sweet&sour chicken set and both were so tasty and flavorful. It came with a little dessert. The prices are affordable and the staff is really nice.

Not polite

I asked to plug the phone and they wanted to charge me 3 ringit for that in a very impolite way. So I left, i did not eat there. Also smell like a old place. Tables are shared. I will no go back.

Cons: No polite

Absolutely delicious!!

This place is seriously good. As you come down Carnavron St turn left at the big junction. I had the set meal with the Thai style tofu and everything that came with it was just as delicious as the tofu. If it wasn't closed tomorrow (Tuesday) I'd be heading straight back again!

Pros: Air con, Friendly people, Let me in even though it was close to 2:30pm

Good food!

I ordered the melaka mee and chicken satay and it tasted really great! Unlike reviewers before me, I only had to wait 15 minutes before being served. Would recommend this restaurant to all vegans in Georgetown (they use no egg, and 99% of menu is without dairy)

Pros: cheap, great taste. no egg used.

Great choice for a long time

Huge selection of Chinese vegetarian food. I have eaten here several times over the past few years and the quality of the food and service is still great. Good is prepared fresh, so you have to wait for a bit. Love the taste! Prices are medium. When speaking with the owner he said that he was also a Buddhist and therefore wants to serve vegetarian food. Still closed on Tuesdays.

Pros: Huge selection

Yummy Food

The food here was very tasty, fresh and reasonably priced.

We enjoyed the spring rolls and the sweet and sour 'chicken' in particular.

The staff were friendly and the restaurant was comfortable and very clean.

yummy food

I went here the other day. There's a lot of choice on the menu and it took my a while to decide out of the set meals but I opted for the sweet and sour chicken set. This consisted of rice, fake chicken in sweet and sour sauce, some fake chicken strips, an assortment of 2 veg soups, orange slices and I don't know if she gave the last bit for free or if it was meant to be part of the meal but we got a beautiful peach flavoured jelly type desert. Each set was about 15Rm but there's other dishes. Would go back again but there's so much choice in Georgetown I think I'd maybe opt for cheaper options as a budget backpacker

Pros: Tasty food, Lots of choice

Good choice for a quick bite

The restaurant is perfect for a quick yet good dinner or lunch; we felt like the atmosphere was actually nicer than what you'd expect from looking at it from the outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was fresh and tasty. Two of us shared three dishes altogether, we had some greens but also some mock meat satay and everything was nicely prepared. I would not have the chestnut juice next time though, that was a bit too sweet for me... All in all a really good experience!

Okay..

Very friendly People as the other reviewers wrote. Tried the fried spring role, it arrived inside nearly cold outside warm. So it wasnt fresh made.

Than I tried the sweet & sour chicken that was pretty nice. I think the small portions are small but that seems a question of view ;-)

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Not All Fresh Cooked

Nice people, good food

We went on first day of Chinese New Year so they only offered a set menu. Some was amazing, some was mediocre. But they were very nice people and the place was clean and comfortable

Nice people, clean environment, great food

We were a little war torn when we stumbled in to Zhu Yuan. After a string of unpleasant eating experiences in Penang we were feeling very wary as our eyes cruised through the menu. The friendly and helpful staff did a great job of putting us at ease, deftly guiding us through the options to arrive at what turned out to be a very enjoyable meal.

We had already called ahead with the usual MSG question but checked again just in case and the response was a reassuring 'not used at all'. Oh good. There was no shortage of mock meat on the menu, but we managed to avoid all the factory made varieties of such.

The food here is mostly Chinese with a bit of Thai and Malay thrown in for variety. We selected a mushroom dish, a handmade soy meat roll with gravy, some seaweed soup and a vegetable curry. The mushrooms were an interesting rubbery texture and tasted good enough. The soy meat dish was made of rolled up yuba and was a true masterpiece - most certainly a great choice. The soup was full of flavour too. The curry, which came last, fully slapped us in the face with its unabashedly sharp and oomphy attitude.. not sure what souring agent went in there but it was fiesty and full of flavour -just wished we had have asked more about it and its origins as it was highly enjoyable. By the time we had ploughed through all of this we were very full and our only regret was that we didn't order any greens.

The closing time is 9.30pm, not 10pm as stated here. The steamboat option was not available today for some reason and we were told it probably wouldn't be next week either due to the chaos that is expected to ensue during the vegetarian festival. We'll be back.

Pros: Healthy tasty food, Friendly helpful staff, clean, pleasant interior

Cons: they do use mock meat, not all vegan - do check

Tasty Food, Friendly Service

A nice, clean, relaxed restaurant, great for a casual meal, though a little lacking in ambience (to be expected at this price point really). Whilst there appeared to be a self serve buffet section, we were too late to take advantage of it, and were asked to order a la carte instead.

The menu is large and varied, and divided into different sections for chicken, seafood, beef etc. There were also quite a few dishes that I haven't seen elsewhere (Marmite Chicken for example!). Dishes can be ordered small, medium or large, with small dishes priced at around RM8 each. Between the two of us, we ordered 4 small plates hoping to sample a few different things. As it turns out, small isn't exactly small, and four was way too much - you could comfortably get by on one small dish per person.

We were happy with everything we tried: chicken rendang (particularly good), black pepper lamb, barbecue ribs, and a tasty fish dish recommended by the staff, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and more than happy to have a chat.

Frozen products are also for sale in the freezers out the back if you're up for some home cooking.

Definitely recommended, and we'll certainly be coming back next time we're in Penang.

Pros: Great variety and some unique dishes, Frozen products galore for sale!, Very friendly staff
