A restaurant serving pizza and pasta along with chips, wedges, and garlic bread. Has gluten-free and vegan (not labeled) options. Was previously Veggie Choice, new name and branding reported May 2017. Is no longer purely vegetarian however they still have vegan cheese for pizzas. Reported closed, Feb 2021.

Vegan options but not vegan friendly

We shared a large vegan version of a Classic Vegetarian here for dinner after the movies. It was a decent feed for two people and, at $18, typically priced, but, while OK, it really didn't have a great deal of flavour. I know that there a better vegan pizzas in Melbourne. I'm also not quite sure why they charge $4 more for vegetarian pizzas (and $8 more for "premium" vegetarian) than for non-vegetarian ones - and that's before adding the extra $2 for vegan cheese. The food may be vegan but the price isn't friendly. Having said that, I'd come back to try some of the other vegan options, such as burgers and desserts.

Now veg friendly

Seems to have taken over (and updated) the menu from the plush pizza whuch used to be down the road at no.85. Pizza is not quite as good as the original plush but better than when (I presume) that business was sold and run into the ground by the new owners. Have not tried the pasta options yet.

Update - in April 2015 name changed from veggie choice to zesty pizza. Now serves meat but retains a large part of the vegetarian menu.

Pros: solid pizza

Cons: A little pricey for what it is.

Yum!

I came here about a month or 2 ago. Based entirely on the food - I asked for what was recommended and for a gluten free vegan pizza it was awesome (it pretty much had all the toppings). If you want something a bit naughty and good, go here.

Pros: plenty of vegan

Cons: needs healthier options, atmosphere

Mediocre pizza

Now that veganism is becoming more mainstream, I expect the quality to be of a much higher standard. I would suggest Red Sparrow as a much better alternative

Nice little pizza shop

Vegetarian menu, with the option to make vegan ie. vegan cheese on a pizza at a small additional cost.
Ordered the roast vegetable pizza, which was quite nice. I live quite close so I will definitely be back!
