Everything was Great! - Edit
We had the jalapeño poppers, the crispy polenta skillet with marinara and vegetables, and the Thai sunrise with coconut yellow curry and mixed vegetables. All were so good. The poppers had a great filling and a nice sweet taste with the fruit sauce drizzle. The polenta was soft and the marinara was very flavorful. And the yellow curry was awesome. Can’t wait to go back and try more

Not only is the kitchen entirely plant based, gluten free, soy free, and peanut free, they’ve eliminated plastic straw use and paper menus and they give 5% discounts

Also... the food is amazing. And most everything can even be made oil free if that’s a concern.

Good food - Edit
It was a little scary going into a place that has indoor dining during COVID, but we ordered takeout and the food was very good - was a bit of a wait even though they weren't super busy.
Read moreLimited menu but still a solid variety of options. I had the bbq jackfruit pizza and while it was good, the cheezy sauce was kind of overpowering - my friend had the potato dish and enjoyed it.
I'd go back after COVID to maybe enjoy the place a bit more - couldn't enjoy the atmosphere or the full bar as I normally would.
Pros: All vegan, Nice space
Cons: Small menu, Somewhat expensive

Zest is THE Best - Edit
zest is the BEST. The food, the atmosphere, drinks, desserts and the cocktails are top notch. This is one of the gems of SLC. I can often find the owner walking around our farmers market looking for the freshest ingredients. Not to mention their commitment to the community with coat drives, discounts of brining your reusable container, and matching donations to local charities. This place hits all the right notes and makes me warm and fuzzy whenever i go there, though that might be the cocktails too. Be sure to go for brunch AND dinner. I'm still deciding what I like best. The brunch is stellar and one of my favorites. green juice mimosas!!! The jalapeno poppers and tiramisus are one of my favorite appetizers and desserts in this city. I get them almost every time. Okay, writing this just made me hungry time to go to zest! see you there!

Loved this place. The food was delicious. - Edit
Service was great. We had the protein salad (half portion), polenta, a green juice and a cocktail. The portions were a good size. The service was great and prices were reasonable.

Everything was delicious! - Edit
There were so many interesting items on the menu but ultimately I decided to try a few smaller dishes. I had the:
Read more*brussels sprouts: w/ slivered almonds, spicy masala almond sauce
*cuban taco orange marinated jackfruit, mushrooms, rice, pico de gallo, fruit compote, guacamole & cilantro
* cup of black bean chili (soup of the day)
The Brussels sprouts were amazing. The taco was delicious, and the chili warming and hearty for a cold SLC evening. I was accidentally brought the tomato’s and butternut squash soup... snuck a taste... kinda liked it even more than the chili.
Delicious.
Pros: 100% vegan, Lots of choices, Delicious
Cons: Street paid parking

A-may-zing vegan food - Edit
Brussel sprout appetizer was the best, but all four things we ordered were delicious. The person who said portions were small and prices high may not have compared them to other restaurants in SLC and even grocery store prices. The $ is $$ here in general (from northeast US comparison). That said, come here and order the Brussels and a bunch of other things!

I loved these items - smoothie, coconut tea, nachos, jackfruit pizza. I didn’t like the syrup or whip on hazelnut pancakes though pancakes themselves were good.

Went for dinner and had baked zoodles, very tasty and not too huge so I could fit in carrot cake after which was also really good.

Absolutely Delish! - Edit
Great dining experience! The harvest soup was an amazing blend of flavors unlike any soup I’ve ever had. Breakfast tacos were good. My husband (a non-vegan) had the creamy penne pasta and absolutely loved the béchamel sauce. The raspberry chocolate panda cotta was so yummy and yet didn’t leave a heavy feeling. Our server was sweet and friendly and quick. Two thumbs up! We’ll be back!

Does not meet expectations - Edit
Have been trying to come here for a year and a half but is not family friendly, which isn’t terrible. However, the reviews definitely made me think the food was going to be amazing. None of it had much flavor, if any at all. We won’t be coming back.

Really enjoyed eating here. Attentive service, great cocktails, and yummy food. Pasta carbonara that actually had a really fantastic sauce! We also tried the stuff mushrooms 🤤 which were amazing, the Brussel sprouts in Marsala sauce which were beyond what we expected, and the super foods salad where the beets were the stars. Cool atmosphere!

Vegan pasta carbonara! + a great cocktail - Edit
I often look for something on a vegan menu that I haven't seen elsewhere -- and here, pasta carbonara fit that bill. It was delicious; my only complaint is that it didn't come with a small side salad to make it a more balanced entree. (The other entree I found especially tempting was a stuffed chile -- I'll have to visit Utah again to try that out) The waitstaff was great with suggestions and information that helped steer me to a great cocktail (a chile-mango margarita with just the right amount of snap) and dinner.

Visited three times during a 4 day stay in Salt Lake. Did not disappoint at any time. My favourite was the JUST egg breakfast taco's and soup. I enjoyed two different soups on different days and both were phenomenal.

Birthday flop. - Edit
Went here for my birthday, and all of my non vegan friends came along. I had heard a lot about the place from other vegans and hoped that maybe it could even make an impression on them. It did: a bad impression.
Read moreWaiter seemed either half asleep, rarely made an appearance. The ramen my friends ordered came in noodle shreds, which they found repulsive. My wife’s food came cold, and drinks were alright, though kombucha was very good. To top it all off made it feel all the more overpriced for how poor everything was. When the waiter asked how we we doing and we answered honestly, he seemed angry and clearly wanted nothing to do with us after that. Never came back to give a check, so we had to go up front to pay just to finally leave. I felt embarrassed on behalf of the restaurant since it ended up fortifying some negative opinions that non-vegan friends have on vegan food (and now service).
I can only hope I’m just that odd one out that had a horrible experience here, and since it is a plant based restaurant, I only feel obligated to try them again, but for now, I have no desire to ever come back.
Pros: Lovely set up, loved the interior., Kombucha was nice.
Cons: Overpriced for cold, soggy food. , Worst service I’ve ever had.

Good food when you're not too hungry - Edit
We're not generally huge jackfruit fans, but the tacos were good. We love mushrooms, but the stuffed mushrooms weren't as good as we expected (the filling was just okay). The smoothie and carrot cake were both really good. The place is nice, the staff is friendly, and we enjoyed our late light dinner.
