Tasty food but slow and small portions

The food was very tasty and well labeled. There are a lot of options.

We had a one hour lunch break and nearly didn't have time to eat although we ordered only one plate each. Also I still felt hungry after but no time to eat more.

Amazing food, slow service

Stopped off for a coffee and a bite to eat. Menu all clearly labelled, though not a huge amount of vegan options. We went veggie and had the veggie snack platter and a portion of sweet potato fries. I think they forgot us, we waited an hour in total for food to arrive. They did apologise and gave us some extras to make up for it. Food was amazing though, beautifully presented and we sat with a view of the Matterhorn! The fries were honestly the best I’ve ever tasted😄Staff were friendly, just a shame it took so long.

Pros: The best sweet potato fries, Quality food, Great location

Cons: Slow service, Pricey - but it is Switzerland!

Wonderful meal

We are on the patio and the atmosphere is unmatched. I split the udon noodles and Thai salad with a friend and they were both lovely. Finished the meal off with an evening cappuccino, which was delicious.

Pros: Atmosphere, Tofu!, Many options

Great coffee!

We only went for a cup of coffee, but one of the best coffees we tried in Zermatt! You can choose oatmilk.
It comes with a nice view too.

Pros: Coffee was good, Oatmilk option

Cons: It’s pricey, but everything is in Switzerland

Great food overall

Have quite a few vegan and vegetarian options. We went here twice in 2 days.

All dishes were good. Sweet potato fries is a must have. Apart from this we are and liked the Chickpea Fritters, Malakoff, Aubergine & Harissa, and Panzanella & Olive.

Apart from this their hot chocolate was also quite good.

A must visit if you're in Zermatt.

Pros: Good service , Great ambience and great view of matterhorn, Great tasting and hygienic food

Cons: Food takes time to be served

Poor Service Experience at Zermatt Kitchen

Today, following a hike, we decided to visit Zermatt Kitchen, attracted by its spacious terrace. However, upon our arrival, we were met with silence – no reception, no greeting. Undeterred, we seated ourselves.

After a few minutes, our order was taken by a blonde server in English. Despite her claim of not speaking German, just moments later, she conversed with customers at a nearby table in broken German. This initial deception was troubling, forcing us to place our orders in a language foreign to our surroundings in German-speaking Switzerland.

Though our drinks arrived promptly after a 10-minute wait, we found ourselves waiting an additional 40 minutes for my Rösti. Frustrated, I finally requested the bill, only to be ignored for another 10 minutes before being presented with both the bill and my Rösti simultaneously, accompanied by a prompt to settle the bill.

Such behavior is not only impudent but also reflects a profound lack of professionalism and motivation, particularly evident in the demeanor of the blonde server.

In conclusion, our decision to steer clear of this establishment is well-founded, and we have no intention of returning. It's imperative to remind the server of the importance of providing receipts and maintaining a friendly and accommodating attitude towards customers.

Moreover, it's essential to redefine the job description for servers, emphasizing the responsibility to ensure guests' comfort and timely service.

Based on our experience, we strongly advise against patronizing this establishment. There are plenty of other restaurants in the vicinity with competent and hospitable staff.

A regrettable and disheartening experience!

Pros: nothing

Cons: Poor Communication, Lengthy Waiting Times, Lack of Professionalism

Very good food and good view

The menu varies depending on what time of day you go. We got there for the lunch menu, so the Thai salad and the udon noodles were not available. We ordered the chickpea fritters and the panzarella salad (and asked to add avocado), plus an order of sourdough bread. The portions were good and this filled us up very nicely. The server was great and the food came fast.

Very nice view and also nice food

The vegan options are nicely marked on the menu. We tried the udon noodles and the Thai salad, which were tasty! The staff was not super friendly though. But the view on the terrace was absolutely amazing, capturing the Matterhorn, the church tower and the river!
