Great, local, vegan, gluten free everything - Edit

Zen Cat Bakery is owned/was started by a woman who found herself on a Gluten Free and Vegan diet because of food allergies and health problems. She is extremely sweet and friendly and sometimes has a booth at the Saturday downtown Greensboro curb market on Yanceyville. The triple ginger spice cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and brownies are my personal favorites! Also raw truffles and raw cookies are available by request! Another great thing about Zen Cat is the movement toward organic and less –refined ingredients when available(it's hard to convince vendors to do this, much less them start on their own!) You can pick up Zen Cat products at a number of local stores
*Deep Roots Market
*Green Bean Coffee
*Tate Street Coffee House

and in Durham
*Straw Valley Cafe
*Respite Cafe
*Bull Street Gourmet & Market

Pros: Pure Vegan (no cross contamination!), Gluten Free, movement toward less refined ingredients
