Zen and Zen Vegetarian

seriously questioning if it's still here

With seats for about 40 people and a very simple pay when you order set up, this restaurant offers little in the way of thrills but the clientele of locals tells you that they offer good food and it's cheap.
3 of us are 5 dishes between us for NT$ 250. This excludes drinks (little available) but the food was tasty and all veggie.

This is a small place in so called electronics district.
By subway train: Take Blue or Yellow line to Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station. Go out by Exit 1. When you come out turn right and make 180 degree turn.
Turn right at first street. You will see all the motor bikes parked on the right. Continue walking on this street.
You will cross one street and look for ComeBuy Drink Shop. After that shop, turn left. This street is busy and small.
Keep walking on the right side of the street. You will pass a Pasta Place and then Zen Zen Vegetarian Restaurant.
The gentleman with eye glasses speaks English. Ask for menu in English and ask him to fill out the order. Pay cash and food will come to you soon.
They have vege meats. Kimchi and various noodles. I like one with Sesame Paste.
The price is very reasonable. Service is good also.

We couldn't really find any road signs so hopefully this will help with finding it:
on Bade road with your back facing huashan 1914 creative park and your left facing Bade commercial area (or something like that), turn right into a lane which has numerous electronics shops. At the t-junction, turn right. Keep on going until you're almost at the bend of the road. The restaurant is on the left.

The counter by the door is where you pick up the menu,order and pay. English menus available. There is a small ordering chit that you need to fill in your order (English menu essential to the non-Chinese reader) and hand it to the staff at the counter.

We ordered dumplings, rice with mockmeat & veg, sesame noodles and various tofu/gluten based side dishes. All of which were very good. Soup base for the dumplings used a preserved vegetable which i've not had in years and it worked well with the dumplings.
