Excellent food, several vegan proteins! - Edit
On the bottom backside of the menu is a special section listing vegan ingredients they have. I didn't see this until our 2nd time eating there and was soooo happy. The pizza & pasta are excellent but my fav so far is a vegan calzone with pepperoni, garlic, pine nuts cheese (and they loaded it UP with pepperoni). The cheese is melty good and the pepperoni flavor and texture is really good (it's not the Yves brand, whatever they're using is way better imo).

The vegan up-charge is a little steep if you loaded up on proteins but they provide sizable portions and it is a treat that they have such a nice selection for a town that has basically zero vegan footprint.

Really good vegan options - Edit
They were out of the vegan sausage, but the vegan pepperoni and cheese were spot on! Wild mushrooms tasted great with other veggies. A custom vegan calzone was just under $18 with three toppings (just under $16 before the $2 vegan cheese charge). Vegan pepperoni or sausage was $1 more. Calzones were fantastic!

Finally, a restaurant with vegan cheese - Edit
Zeffiros was a life saver throughout lockdown. Not only did they deliver deliciously fresh Italian food, but also vegan food including pizza WITH VEGAN CHEESE.
Read moreThey even offer extra vegan cheese as an option. Will also make the garlic knots with vegan cheese if you ask! They are made fresh every time.
So thankful they are in Las Cruces-other restaurants should take note. Can’t wait until they start delivery back up!

Zeffiro’s has vegan meats and cheese but be sure to check before that they have some in stock - call ahead or ask the waiter. The calzone with vegan cheese is also very very good.
Read moreThe owner and the employees were very attentive to our needs - was amazing. However, double check your orders when you give them and receive it. Once got our order without the vegan meat and it had to go back - but make sure if another employee, remind them you want vegan meat. They were overly attentive, others helping out with our table, we had to keep reminding them vegan meat and cheese.
