We had a really rough experience here today. Found out it’s not all vegan - they use a patty with egg & milk & the service was not great. We waited for our food to take to the park and the worker behind the bar was watching videos on his phone at full volume and left his phone on the bar playing a video on a loop of the same video for a full 10 mins. It got to be so ridiculous. No toilet paper in bathroom, no air conditioning inside, and then the food was not good.
Read moreI got the mushroom burger which was a sandwich cut in half and a huge portion of sweet potato fries that was just a ball of soft fries. My partner got the chicken sandwich and it was also very small but his regular steak fries were good.

Oh yikes! I reported them to HC so they can label it as vegetarian. Why do they advertise themselves as a vegan establishment? Their Instagram says "Delicious Fresh Vegan Food", and they are a "Vegan restaurant" on Google Maps. I am starting to have major trust issues eating out at vegan restaurants now lol.

ZED Eats and Drinks was the perfect grand finale to our Brooklyn adventure! As Londoners on a culinary quest, we saved the best for last with their Vegan Chicken and Waffles. The harmonious blend of flavours left us speechless – crispy 'chicken' that tasted astonishingly real and waffles so fluffy they practically floated. Five stars simply don't do justice to this gem. We regret not discovering ZED sooner; it's a dining experience that demands an encore. To anyone in Brooklyn or visiting, don't make our mistake – savour this plant-based paradise as soon as you can.

Went today evening to pick up an order. Made to wait an hour but no update on the order. The restaurant runs at a snails place. Came back without eating. Will never visit. Don't recommend.

This seems like a nice neighborhood spot with a large selection. I tried the oxtail stew, but it was quite bland. Still, the service was friendly, with a nice backyard that was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday afternoon. There was alcohol on the menu, but they could not provide it due to not having their license. But I'd try it again the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Lefferts Gardens best kept secret. We came to check out the neighborhood and hit up ZED for brunch. Ordered the veggie hash and the chick’n and waffles from their all day breakfast menu to share. I spent a week eating my way through Brooklyn (and parts of Manhattan too) and hands down, the veggie hash was one of the best things I ate. And it went so perfectly with the chick’n and waffles with its side of homemade mild sauce.
Read moreWe spoke with our waiter and found out that ZED opened during the pandemic. Like so many, it struggled and as things open up, it is challenged with building a clientele. We spoke about how a space that serves delicious food for those who have dietary restrictions and allergies, like ZED, needs to exist. Before we left, we were curious about their vegan goat curry and the response, served with a twinkle, was, “Oh, that’s the one you have to get right!” Will definitely come back for that.
Sit indoors or in the cozy patio in the back. Also, the drink coasters are small vinyl replicas of hits that further adds to the charm of this place.
