Great vegan deep dish

Zachary's has a great vegan deep dish (it's not authentically "Chicago", but it's a decent approximation) with nice sauce and a slightly bready crust.

The biggest thing that sets it apart from other deep dish places in the Bay Area is its vegan cheese: they use Vevan-brand cheese (which is from Wisconsin), instead of Daiya or Follow Your Heart or Violife or Teese.

Vevan is smooth, neutral in flavor, has good consistency and isn't obtrusive, sticky or heavy. It's perfect for deep dishes, in short.

If Zachary's added vegan meat toppings and a vegan dessert, it would be a staple.
