Serves meat, vegan options available. Japanese restaurant at the Japanese Country Club, Clube Nipo. In 2016 it added a vegan menu that includes both appetizers and entrees. For starters, there's korokke (fried potato balls with filling), harumaki (spring rolls), hiyayakko (tofu with scallions and ginger), aguedashi (fried tofu), and sauteed shimjei. For entrees, there's ochaguze (rice bowl with pickles), kinokodon (rice with sauteed shitake and shimeji), yaki soba (stir-fried noodles with mushrooms), udon and soba noodle soups, yassai itame (stir-fried vegetables with nirá and mushrooms, tofu steak (grilled tofu with mushrooms and gravy), spicy fried tofu in sweet-sour gravy, and a vegan version of the traditional Japanese curry.
