We really our meal. The tofu is excellent. Crispy on the inside but melt in the mouth.

I was looking forward to eating here after reading previous reviews. I love Vietnamese food, and expectations were high. It's a really small place so you need to book. The owner/chef was friendly & welcoming. I went with my omni friend, and we shared a portion of summer rolls to start. They were okay, but a bit bland. We also wanted to try the Vietnamese pancake, but they no longer offer that apparently. I ordered the rice noodle tofu bowl for my main, which was supposed to come with a 'vegan roll' but didn't. I asked the chef about it, and she said that 'vegans don't like it' so she no longer included it...
Read moreMy main also lacked flavour, it was just cubes of fried tofu on a bed of rice noodles and some shredded lettuce, carrot and mooli. The dressing lacked any punch, and there were no fresh herbs traditionally served with Vietnamese dishes like this. I asked for chilli sauce in the end which helped. My omni friend said her meat main was well cooked and fresh but bland. Based on this experience I wouldn't go again. The Thai place opposite was much better IMO.

Read moreWe had the bahn mi and tofu noodles with vegan sauce (you do need to specify the "vegan sauce" option and not "fish sauce", even though they're under the vegetarian/vegan part of the menu). Big portions, fresh ingredients, and a decent price.

Dedicated vegan menu. Fresh light tasty ingredients. Super well priced. They had an aubergine and fermented tofu special when I went which was incredible.

I had the special which was aubergine with fermented bean curd, and it was a taste sensation. I got an entire aubergine (!) which was cooked perfectly. The sauce and bean curd were also lovely. The portion size was huge and I couldn’t eat it all, and good value at £10.50 including rice. We had the summer rolls for a starter which were made completely from scratch. You can sit in here, they have 4 tables for two. Staff were very friendly as well. It is great to see a place that puts a lot of effort and thought into their vegan offerings.

Good vegan options, I had noodles with vegan spring roll, spoke to the owner obout the food, they said they make the spring roll in house, tasted lovely, wished the restaurant was nearer, I would use it every week.

Don’t see Vietnamese restaurants in many UK towns so was really excited to walk past this place. Had two meals as it’s been so long. Delicious food and had great chat with owners. The Banh Mi (#17) was great as was the Rice Noodle Salad with Tofu (#19). Highly recommend!
