100 percent Vegan, 100 percent delicious - Edit
We have been going to Yumvees since they had a dine-in restaurant. The food quantity has never wavered. It doesn’t matter if you get a burger, salad or “chicken parmesan” it will be delicious. We have had everything on the menu (and things no longer on the menu). They even make their own “cheese”. They are good people who make good great. Highly recommend.

Amazing made from scratch vegan food! - Edit
I absolutely LOVE this place! 100% vegan but I have many omni friends who request to meet here. All of the dishes are great but the Rueben is one of my favorites. The salads are huge if you like a great big salad. I also love the Everything board. It’s awesome to share with friends over cocktails if you like to drink. The staff and owners are very friendly. We got the chicken parmigiana subs and fries, The national hot chicken sandwich and the cheddar bacon burger. Everything was wonderfully delicious, the service was great! The quality of food was Fantastic even with a party of seven. Next time we will be making reservations for brunch. Wether you are vegetarian/vegan or not the Food is delicious❣️ updated on 6-8-2023 still the best vegetarian food in Va! Wish I could afford to eat here everyday and my picky teens💯

Best ambiance for all-vegan restaurant - Edit
This is by far the nicest dine-in vegan restaurant in the area, with a beautifully decorated interior and outdoor patio. I got the “Nashville hot” sandwich, which came with a generous side of perfectly seasoned hand-cut French fries. I was skeptical whether the breaded and fried tofu would make for a satisfying sandwich patty, but I was pleasantly surprised by its flavor, texture and overall juiciness. I can’t wait to get it again, but also want to try the other amazing looking vegan menu items this place has to offer.

Read moreBut, please don’t expect “mock-meat”, every “meat” is tofu cube, which I didn’t find to be so that special…sorry… it’s the same “meat” that comes with chicken parm, the southern fried stake, fried chicken as sides…they are all the same… we would not have ordered these 2 mains and 1 side if we had known that they are essentially the same. I do prefer “healthier” vegan mock meat options but was disappointing that these vegan “meat” were all made the same way, same spicing, everything was the same. Just under different names.
Their lemon 🍋 and blueberry 🫐 cake was out of this world!!
It’s also very nice that they serve a small plate of salad with every meal 🥗!

I never really liked tofu, but the way they make theirs is crispy and delicious, especially in the southern fried steak, and chicken parmesan. My favorite thing I've tried are the nachos, and the southern fries steak. The gravy is the best I've had in a very long time! The employees are very nice and attentive. Will definitely be coming back in the future. Prices are 15-25 a person depending on if you get an app. Also the Mac n cheese and cornbread are amazing!

You’re gonna want to try everything. I think a lot of the items are made in-house & from scratch. I’m slowly working my way through the entire menu, and I haven’t been disappointed by a single thing. The staff always has wonderful suggestions and it’s honestly the best dine-in customer service I’ve ever had in Richmond.

It can be hard to find good Plant based vegan restaurants. I found this on Happy Cow app. Yummvees is a hidden gem. It stands for yummy vegan and holds up to its name. They give you contemporary foods with the vegan twist. I had the oyster mushroom tacos and they were excellent. I like the laid-back atmosphere

We finally made it to Yummvees last night and it was as excellent as we had heard. Friendly and welcoming staff and really comfortable vibe. My specialty drink was so delicious and refreshing (Selena). The artichoke lasagna is out of this world, my husband tried the chicken pot pie special and loved it. We finished with a blueberry empanada topped with the avocado ice cream and crème brûlée - wonderful. We will be back.

Early birthday dinner last week. Friendly and enthusiastic service, including the restaurant's owner. All vegan, with a combination of apps, sandwiches, and larger and fancier entrees. Chicken-fried tofu was excellent. Think comfort food with a Southern twist--would happily eat here again!

Went in for lunch. Beautiful setting, with natural decor and nice neutral palette. Ordered the cheese steak and fries. Definitely had enough left for dinner. The server was very attentive. We learned when they say a little spicy, they mean it. Can't wait to go back for brunch!

From the owner of Hang Space, Yumvees is a newer spot and more upscale with delicious dining options. Everything is house made with real food ingredients. Start with an appetizer and try the Tofu Parmesan or the Ribs as your main dish. The fries were also out of this world. We were not impressed with the dessert, although it looked and sounded very good -- it all tasted like soy. I think they were made with silken tofu, just not our style when it comes to indulgent dessert. This would not stop me from returning, I would just spend more on apps and sides!

Traveling through Richmond on a road trip from upstate NY. We ended up just passing through and found YUMMVEE on Happy Cow. It’s an oasis from your run of the mill junk vegan food. We got the everything board— for 2– as an app and shared the Ribs w/ side of Mac n cheese and roasted veggies with house made ice cream for dessert.

Loved it. We brought our dog on the outdoor patio— a huge plus. It is in a weird mini mall, so if the outdoor atmosphere is a turn off, just eat inside. They’ve got a great vibe

It’s so good! I was in town for the weekend and went twice. I had the jalepeno poppers and pierogies. Both were delicious! I then went back for brunch and had a delicious Bloody Mary and waffle. The owner is very sweet and the staff very attentive. You won’t be disappointed!
