Finding Yum Yum was such a treat! One of the two fully vegan restaurants in San Pancho. The food is absolutely incredible & high quality. Everything is made from scratch and the staff were wonderful, they were all very lovely and friendly. We met the owner and she was lovely as well! The space is a vibe and has a wonderful outdoor seating area. I love how this restaurant really stands for the liberation and equality for animals. Really loved the burrito, cauliflower wings and omelette! SO delicious and filling. I could honestly eat here everyday.
Read moreThe prices were really good, however as of last week they significantly increased their prices. It came to a bit of a shock seeing this, even though the food is worth it, it was hard to pay 150 pesos for the omelette when the previously last week we were paying 85 pesos for example. The cauliflower wings rising from 110 pesos to 150, etc.
They also used to give chips and a homemade carrot hummus complimentary upon arrival, which with the price increased, seems to have also stopped.

Low key cafe, not a home delivery service (this should be updated on happy cow soon). I had the omelette (chickpea flour) and my husband had the scrambled tofu. I loved my omelette as it included homemade vegan cheese. It was so filling and delicious. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch. We did have a couple of moments with the staff that were less than ideal and could have left a bad taste in our mouth but I’m hoping it won’t be the same tomorrow.

Tucked away off the main road, this place is a gem. Outdoor seating. Everything is top notch. Had omelette and chilaquiles and they were off the hook. Owner Catalina is a fantastic chef and cooks everything from scratch herself, including the potato cheese. Really fresh, great flavors. We'll be back!

Upfront service, food was made fresh to order. Had a delicious coffee while we waited. Menu is 100% vegan. The omelette was awesome! I will be going back here for breakfast (most likely) every day while I’m in San Pancho.

Can taste the great homemade cooking - Edit
I enjoyed the complimentary chips and really fresh dip. The chef bowl was so good, generous portion and so filling. Won’t need dinner at all. The agua del dia was refreshing and took a truffle home for dessert, which was perfect, not to sweet or too rich.

The hours for this restaurant state they close at 5pm. I arrived at 4:12pm yesterday. Because I saw some chairs stacked up at one of their tables as I walked up, but with another table full of customers, I politely asked in Spanish whether they were still open. The woman from the restaurant then proceeded to lecture me in English that even though they close at 5pm, that they close their kitchen at 4pm, and that it was my responsibility to know this, because I should have 'Googled' them beforehand, and that they open at 9am and have already put in a long work day.

No gesture to say 'sorry for the inconvenience', no acknowledgement that most restaurants that close on the hour usually stop taking new orders a half hour beforehand, but they happen to be different in this respect. Just an arrogance that it was customer's fault for not knowing about their unusual practice. Incredible.
I've been a vegan for over 35 years. Even if this was the only vegan option in town (it is not), I wouldn't give them my business, because I believe in giving my $$$ to businesses that align with my values. Respecting a respectful customer is one of those values, and I didn't see it here. At a certain point I couldn't listen to the lecture blaming the customer any longer and just walked away, speechless.

Read moreEverything is made from scratch. The carrot dip they gave was AMAZING! Sauces on everything were so flavorful the cauliflower bites are a favorite! They have a breakfast menu and afternoon menu. We tried the afternoon menu and would 100% come back to try the breakfast!

Catalina puts a lot into her food and it shows. The food is nutritious and full of a diverse array of fruits or veggies.
Read moreMy top picks on breakfast are the oat hotcakes (come with fruit and maple syrup), chickpea omelette, and chilaquiles. She also has a nice avocado toast and molletes.
On her other menu my top picks are the bowl del chef, burrito yum (with albondigas), french fries, and falafel plate. She also serves nice cauliflower wings with her chipotle sauce, a falafel wrap, and really good salads. The bowl del chef comes with rice, beans, hummus, falafel, salad, and a rainbow of colorful veggies. Her agua del dia is always fresh and healthy.
It's hard to go wrong here.

We loved this little cafe so much we visited three days in a row. The lovely proprietors of this casual spot are putting out some seriously thoughtful vegan dishes at really reasonable prices. Over a few meals we had their chilaquiles (twice), Caeser salad, fried cauliflower buffalo wings, a breakfast omelette, hotcakes, coffee, cold brew, and an assortment of juices. All of the above was vegan, althoht they do offer a few items made with eggs as well. Everything was amazing but the breakfast items really hit the spot as that kind of fare was a bit harder to find in otherwise veg-friendly San Pancho. The cafe is an outdoor spot right by the main square with just a few tables. Lots of friendly faces pop by to say hi to the owners and there's usually a dog or cat or two hanging out nearby. Our average tab for 2 was 200 MXN or so, if that.
