Pretty good - Edit
It's a good place to go to with a group as dishes are made for sharing, has a great vibe and in a trendy area.
Read moreOverall the food was quite good, but pretty expensive.
- Mini Vietnamese pancakes: was expecting Banh Xeo but this is more like Chinese duck pancakes, it was ok couldn't really taste the plum sauce
- San Choy Bow: not very flavourful
- Grilled mushroom skewers: very nice sauce
- Wok fried greens: my favourite dish, delicious savoury sweet oyster/soy sauce
- Zucchini flowers: perfect crispness, v.tasty , especially w/shredded apple
- Cream cauliflower papperdelle: delish, kale very tasty and not bitter at all, quite good pasta and creamy sauce, but a little spicy
- Choc lava cake: visually stunning, has a steamed pudding texture, nice darkish choc inside

Unpopular opinion - Edit
I hesitated posting this because I know this is a much loved restaurant, however I feel that there are better all vegan restaurants and I don't find this one of the best.
Read more10/10 for service and friendlyness.
10/10 for options and variety.
7/10 for actual taste of the food, it's nothing exceptional or mouth watering that makes me want to tell friends about it or come back again and again.
I ordered the banquet and most of the food tastes the same and got cold quickly.
Sorry Yullis lovers.
I still give it 4 stars as it is a nice establishment, fully vegan, and had some tasty plates.

Great food - Edit
Heaps of options decent serving sizes. Food was really yummy. I loved the zucchini flowers and shiitake mushroom balls. Can cater to gf. The service was really good up until the last course, our server disappeared and we ended up having to get someone’s attention to have our plates cleared serve dessert. The only real negative was that the bathroom smelt really bad. While you were eating at your table you would get wafts of sewage smell. Food 10/10, service 7/10, smell 1/10

Delicious and different - Edit
Every dish I had was delicious. I had two small plates (edamame and coconut moneybags and mushroom balls), a medium plate (spicy cauliflower) and sticky date pudding with coconut ice cream.
Read moreQuick service initially but then got a little hard to get their attention which was strange as it’s a small space. Slight negative was the uncomfortable table, has slatted wood covering all 4 sides so nowhere to stretch out your legs other than along the side of the table.
Pros: Variety of serving sizes, Delicious food, Great that it’s all vegan
Cons: Tables, Service wasn’t very attentive

Quality vegan restaurant close to the CBD - Edit
The fancier version of Yulli’s Brews, not quite fine dining but definitely offers a more refined dining experience! The food is high quality and this place is great to take groups if friends.

Lots of options, but they're all kind of odd - Edit
Expensive with odd dishes, and honestly, we weren't extremely impressed when we tried the banquet option, which allowed us to sample a bunch of dishes between the two of us. I like that they have that option, but most of them weren't winners for us and we didn't leave feeling stuffed. Out of the banquet options we tried, we did like edamame and coconut moneyballs with sauce, the Korean fried broccolini, and the dumplings were good, too. So, the first course options were by far the best, and then it just went downhill from there, with the worst being the enormous bbq king brown mushrooms, as the mushrooms were way too much and the cauliflower third course option was too spicy for me. I was very excited for the chocolate lava cake but the cake's texture and flavor was off and it barely had any melting chocolate in it. The service started out good, and then we were just abandoned halfway through, but we notice that's how it is in a lot of places outside of the US. We really wanted to like this place, but we would try another vegan restaurant next time.

Great vegan date spot - Edit
Lovely intimate seating and bar. Food is incredible but a bit pricey. Everything was good to eat imo besides the pancakes. Staff is super friendly, only downside is the few times I’ve booked I requested to be seated inside and they keep putting us outside. When it rains the covered area isn’t very secure/dry

Call it a 3.6 - Edit
Great to have an all vegan restaurant as they aren’t as common as I’d like them to be, but….
Read moreThe restaurant is surprisingly large for starters, seating outside, seating inside downstairs and there is a decent amount of seating upstairs as well, you would certainly need to book at times as it wouldn’t be hard to be flat out busy. We found it very noisy and that seems consistent from other reviews, people talking loudly at the next table and the music didn’t help as people were then trying to talking over the top of that. The music changed at one point and we thought we had a reprieve but they kicked it up a notch.
Food wise, the menu has some well thought out and creative options to choose from, good plan to go with a few people so you can try a few things or go a few times to work through them. Menu is broken up into small medium and large plates.
We were a group of four and had Shitake Mushroom Balls, Mini Vietnamese Pancakes, Kale and Saltbush Gyoza, Grilled Kimchi, San Choy Bow, Crispy Tofu with green papaya and Sesame Crusted Eggplant. The Pancakes and Gyoza weren’t GF FYI. This was just enough food for our part, so if you have a couple of strapping eaters, small plates are small.
Shitake mushroom balls were deep fried and bit overdone to me, erring toward charred and very greasy, the wasabi mayo they were sat on was nice. Mini pancakes were ok, nothing stunning, I expected a cucumber hoisin type presentation but they were a bit lack lustre. The Gyoza were interesting, got a good hint saltbush hit in one, pastry seemed a bit underdone even being fried. Grilled kimchi was good and we were very curious, it was nice, a bit sweet but well presented. The san choy bow was small and underwhelming, mainly lettuce with a hint or something.crispy tofu was underwhelming the tofu coating had no seasoning so was pretty bland, papaya salad was ok. Crusted eggplant was interesting, bit greasy but each small eggplant was full crusted in sesame seeds so was something different.
It was hot when we went but was ok, glad to get outside but it was a hot day. Funky area, good for a wander, pub across the road if you want drinks before or after. Parking can be a real challenge if you drive, light rail runs past the end of the street but not sure where the nearest stop is.

Pros: Good thought put into the menu, Quite a bit of seating considering, Yulli’s own brew available
Cons: Can be noisy, Parking can be a challenge, Trendy, pricey
