Beautiful meals - Edit
A good proportion of the menu is vegan.
Read moreThe food is good, not great by Japanese standards. Although the chefs were not Japanese, they have a passion and knowledge for it, and the menu is 100% Japanese items.
A look at the menu indicates it’s a little expensive, but that idea evaporated when the food arrived. We were happily surprised by the quantity and presentation.
“Tofu Lover” was delicious, including generous tofu pockets filled with salad -see the picture. And the Kaki-agi udon included an enormous veggie tempura. Maybe a little too salty for my taste (possibly explained by a common practice in non-vegan places, where they simply replace the fish dashi with more soy sauce).
There’s a good selection of Japanese beers, whiskies and sake.
They’ve opened a branch in Adelaide, same menu. Look them up.
Congratulations. I hope to eat there if I can get back to Adelaide.

Vegan Japanese food in the Hills - Edit
I got the garlic edamane, avocado roll, teriyaki tofu roll, and tofu lovers. All of it is SO good, the vegan sushi is the best I have found in Adelaide so far. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Set menu is a treat - Edit
Gorgeous little restaurant in Aldgate. Cosy, busy and yet fast service. We had the set menu (5 courses) and it was heaaaps of food! All delicious. I normally love tofu, but wasn’t a fan of theirs as it’s a soft version. The edamame, green tea noodles and yaki udon were my highlights. So delish!

Beautiful, delicate Japanese flavours - Edit
Lots of lovely vegan options here with beautiful, delicate Japanese flavours. Nice to sit outside undercover by the heaters with the dog. Recommend

Amazing vegan Japanese options - Edit
We were only in the area for one night but would have loved to have come back here again to try some of the other vegan options on the menu. There are so many to choose from! We were really impressed with everything we ordered (the garlic edamame were amazing!) and even though we were completely full, we got a few extra tempura handrolls to take home before we left. Highly recommended!
