Taiwanese Fusion - Edit
The food here is very good, as it is at most made to order places in Taiwan. The prices are a little higher as there are servers instead of placing your order with the people cooking the food directly, and the dishes are a little more creative than the usual so it’s good for a change of pace. It’s also very popular so I couldn’t get a seat the first time I went on a weekend (at a food stall people would invite you sit with them but that didn’t happen here).
Read moreThe menu is a little confusing but everything I tried was very good and a complete meal, not just an a La carte side dish like many places offer. The name of the place in English on the sign is ‘meet secret.’
There are also a lot of other vegetarian places in donggang not listed on HappyCow yet (I added a couple) including cold buffets, food stalls, noodle shops, all the usual and all of it very good so Donggang is a good place for vegetarians. Use google and you can eat somewhere different everyday, usually for cheaper than here. There’s maybe ten places I found on google, all in business although almost all closed in the afternoon.
Pros: Fusion, Friendly, Interesting
Cons: Busy, Trendy, Popular

Unclear menu (not all dairy / egg items are clearly labelled), friendly staff - Edit
After some confusion over the menu (most of it is vegetarian, not vegan, the cordon bleu 藍帶朱排飯 for example), I ordered a fried rice with extra rice (out of habit). The taste was a decent 7/10, but the portion ended up being very huge.
Read moreThe staff was very friendly, and also filled up all my empty water bottles (bike ride).
