Not safe for "hard-core vegans"

When I got there they have a sign that says they cannot accommodate egg allergies, and when I asked the guy working said he cannot accommodate "hard-core vegans" because the water they cook the egg noodles in are the same as the ones they cook the vegan noodles in. However, he said, today they don't have the egg noodles just the vegan ones so there isn't any cross-contamination today, so I decided to order. I got the veg dumplings, cabbage app, and the spicy miso ramen. Everything was delicious and I wish they were able to seperate the water all the time because it was just so damn good.

Pros: Food was delicious , Straightforward with cross contamination info, Nice service

Cons: Egg cross-contamination in noodle water, Tried to seperate vegans from "hard-core vegans"

I’m glad you figured this out about this place. This is why it’s so important to speak up and ask about cross contamination! Many of these “veg-friendly” restaurants aren’t really vegan-friendly even in what they do offer. People seem to be getting ever-more confused about what vegan even means (like the server attempting to distinguish “hard-core vegan”) as more people who aren’t truly, fully vegan order food without caring about cooking contamination and minor ingredients. Case in point- all the reviewers labeled vegan on here who keep saying how they wish they could give carnist restaurants 5 stars as well, if only Happy Cow would let them. 🤦🏼‍♀️

5/5 Stars!

I had the Vegan Spicy Miso Ramen and the Veggie Gyoza a few weeks ago, and I have been having massive cravings for them since then! Highly recommend them- I wish I could give more than 4 stars, but Happy Cow won’t let me because it is not a fully vegan restaurant.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options

HappyCow makes this distinction for a reason. Why wish you could give a carnist restaurant the same top accolades as a vegan restaurant?!

I have been vegetarian then vegan for a total of 15 years- I love it when any restaurant offers delicious vegan meals outside of the standard salad and french fries. Plus, it has been months since I have eaten here and I am still craving the meal that I ate there- it was THAT good!

Some of the Best Ramen I've had!

If you haven't tried the ramen here you need to change that. There's obvious love for the craft and you can taste it in the food. They also have properly spicy options available too. I hope they keep it up!

Pros: Bar next door to have a beer while waiting., Fast preperation., Very spicy options.
