Closed?

Went to the address posted with this listing and checked the building against photos others posted. It looks like it’s no longer there 😭. The 4F is now a “cinema spa.”

Amazing buffet

Loads of healthy options & many different dishes to try in general! Everything was fresh and flavorful. We really liked it and ate here several times during our stay in Chengdu. We always got there shortly after they opened for lunch and the buffet looked fantastic. Highly recommend!

Don't Leave It Too Late

We went in the evening and by the time we got there the pickings were slim, however there was enough choice and we did get our bellies filled for very little cost. The buffets in Shanghai are the same, the best stuff goes first. The food was tasty and I tried this green cookie which was delicious with sesame seeds & a taro or purple potato filling, I've since found them at one of my favourite places in Shanghai. They sold a loaf of sweet bread (like brioche) but vegan with raisins in, we bought one to go as our hotel breakfast was poor. One of the staff spoke great English and gave us a coupon for a discount next time.

Pros: Tasty, Lots of options, Inexpensive

Inexpensive and Yummy!

So many options including things like mock meat and mini cupcakes. I personally go for veggies more but they have something for everyone! For all-you-can-eat it's 28 Yuan, or 4 bucks in American currency. Right down the street from the YinHe Dynasty Hotel

Pros: Lots of impressive and healthy options

Vegan safe haven

I was a bit put off the idea of buffet but it’s your best option if you don’t speak any Chinese and have no idea what to order/what things are. You get to take as much or as little of whatever you want.
Get there early for lunch. Opens at 11. By 12 it’s busy and you’ll struggle to get a table.
Don’t worry if you don’t have mobile data or access to maps. It’s easy enough to find if you screenshot instructions here.
Once we got to the plaza we couldn’t find our way to the 4th floor and ended up in a brothel, which also happens to be on a 4th floor.
To save you from our mistake: when you turn your back on the Plaza shopping centre, look up and you’ll see the sign says vegan 4F. Walk along until you see a sausage stall shop, walk through that shop and there’s a lift at the back and a sign saying 4F.
Well worth the accidental adventures into brothel land.
I’ve added some photos (of the right shop entrance!) to pass it forward and help others find this place

Pros: 100% vegan , Staff lovely and one of them speaks English , Cheap - great value for money and central

OK food

Here’s how to find it:
Easily locate "Kowlwoon Plaza" on your mobile map. It's very central.
When you arrive there, turn your back to the front entrance, raise your eyes and you’ll see a large sign in english: "Yusuge Garden Vegan Restaurant" . I added a photo of it.
It's rather nice to see the words "Vegan Restaurant" in such big letters :)

All you can YEET

We went after 8 so it was 28 yuan which is hella cheap. But the food was definitely colder at that point. Still worth it! They had a ton of desserts, and delicious spring rolls?? Maybe?? It was good. You can go up the creepy staircase, or a few doors before that there is a elevator. Look for a green sign that advertises for it.

Highly Recommend!

First time eating at a Vegan Buffet, was not disappointed by what was available. I’ve been travelling around China for a few weeks and more often then not I have been left wanting more.

Was a pleasant surprise eating here. There were 20 dishes to choose from and each one was packed full of flavour, the dishes weren’t to oily or salty. The staff were very friendly and the lady who served me spoke English, couldn’t ask for a better experience!

I went back for thirds it was that delicious! Will be eating here again before I leave!

Pros: Lots of Options, Great flavours, Very well priced

Good buffet selection though all cold and not that satisfying.

Lots of options & good service, though food should be warmed up in the heat trays beneath them. All food was barely warm or cold when I ate.

Pros: Lots of buffet options , Good service

Cons: Cold food, A bit underwhelming

Great and cheap

I love this place. I often go there and the food and the service is always great. The food is all plant based, very few processed food. It's quite healthy and super tasty. All you can eat for a low price!

Really good food for a small price!

To get to the fourth floor where the restaurant is, is kind of scary.: An abandoned staircase, some parts in total darkness. But once you are in the restaurant it's very nice! Some staff members spoke English. For 29 yuan you get the buffet. For 31 you get the hotpot. The buffet is unlimited including drinks.

Pros: Totally vegan and so much to choose from!, Cheap

Cons: Not all staff speak english., You have to go through a dark staircase.

Great place !

I was pleasantly surprised to know that they charge 19¥ from 11 am to 2:30 pm! And if you eat everything you put on your plate you get a 3¥ off your next visit! The food was amazing! So much variety both in savory and sweet segment. Some staff speak English. I came here with my friend. She was skeptical as she has never been to a Chinese eatery. But when I told her it was a vegan place she had no idea!) So, don’t be scared to bring non-veg people here!

Both lunch and dinner are amazing.

They charge 19RMB for lunch and 29RMB for dinner. Its amazing, so much choice and the food is very very good. Some dishes are a bit oily, but have seen a lot worse in China and SEA. They give a 3RMB discount for your next visit if you return your plates empty.

A bit hard to find. You can enter trough what looks like a hotel reception and take the elevator to the 4th floor.

Pros: All vegan. Unlimited. Lovely staff. Lots of choice

Great food for a really good price

I went there for lunch and the food was great.
The staff was really nice and spoke little english.
I paid 19¥ and also got the 3¥ voucher when I returned my finished, empty plates.
I wanted to go another time but unfortunately I didn't make it.
If you're in Chengdu go there (at least once)

Pros: lots of different dishesall vegan

Awesome buffet for 28 RMB w/ voucher

When we went there was a lady waiting on the ground floor who handed each of us a voucher. We then ended up paying 28 RMB each for the all you can eat buffet.

The buffet was HUGE! They have a huge selection of sweets, soups, and vegetables. My favorites were the sweet soup, the mushrooms, the cupcakes and lots of other sweets that I don't know the name of.

The staff members are super lovely and one lady spoke English. So if you have any questions and you don't happen to speak Chinese you'll be in good hands.

They also have a small shop inside the restaurants. I didn't check it out though and can't really say what they have. If you are looking for good vegan food and craving heaps of options then this is your place.

I loved it - the food was amazing! I'll definitely be back. PS: When we returned our empty trays we were each given a voucher that said we'd get 3 RMB off the 28 RMB buffet next time. Fantastic! :D

If you are looking for decent vegan food look no further. Yusuge has heaps of options, lovely atmosphere and amazing food!

Pros: HUGE 28 RMB buffet w/ voucher, Delicious sweets, You get a 3 RMB voucher if you finish your food

Very nice and a lot of choices buffet for only 28 rmb. It’s hard to find first. But with help of comments below I can find this place. But they use a lot of oil and sometimes I think it can be cooked better.

Good food, excellent prices

My vegetarian friend and I went on a trip to Chengdu and decided to check out this place after reading you could have a meal for 18rmb.
When we got to the restaurant we were a little confused about how to get to the fourth floor. Fortunately there was a lady outside handing out coupons and she took us up.
We somehow managed to only pay 8rmb per person!

Pros: A lot of choice

Cons: limited seating

decent vegan buffet

The first place we’ve seen in China with a sign advertising vegan food and it’s clear they know what this means. It is a decent vegan buffet, plenty of options, not as tasty or good quality as wenshu monastery buffet but still good and much cheaper! Very tasty sweet sticky rice dish you can have for dessert! Previous review left instructions to find the place which helped us!
They were ha ding out money off vouchers at the door but we still paid 19 per person with the voucher which was what I was expecting anyway!
