Lovely vegan place! - Edit
I went here around 11 am on a Wednesday, it was empty of people but full of food. The place is easy to find, and the lady who runs it speaks some basic English, which is all you need.
Read moreShe will grab a place of rice and you can point at whatever you want. I think the more you take the more expensive it gets. They also seem to be selling water. Eat first pay after. I opted for two things: a mix of veggies and tofu, and some crispy meat replacement. Both were very delicious. The lady warned me that they were a bit spicy, and they were. She even let me try one to test if it’s not too spicy. That was very sweet. I generally love these kind of Jay places, food is always good and healthy. Happy I went here😄

Some good tasty food! Jai restaurant so everything is vegan. You can choose multiple dishes with rice and it was super super cheap!! The owner doesn’t speak much English but was super friendly and smiley. Definitely worth a visit for some food in between exploring the ruins😄

Youta Jay is the best - Edit
The trick is to get here early, and you'll see which trays are already getting scooped up from. It's about a 15 minute walk from Wat Mahathat. I recommend the Wat from 8-9 and then cruise over here at 9. Showing up in the afternoon means all the good stuff is sold out and sitting too long. I recommend the red curry, the green curry and the tofu plus some brownies to go! Enjoy Ayutthaya!

Ate here twice during my stay in Ayutthaya! Soo good! They have vegan brownies and a few cakes (double check for egg and milk as some do).

Sadly it's not open in the evening otherwise I would have gone more!

Manage your manager expectations, the place looks a little rough, and certainly not up to the cleanliness of what would be required in the United States. But whenever we have a vegan buffet, it’s always known to hit the spot. And this place did the job. Only bottled water is offered for beverage, no coconut water or anything else. Several selections of a stirfry variety and crispy beef style and things you would like, but none of it is served warm they don’t have a warmer in the serving area, which to me was a disappointment. Price is dirt cheap. Enjoy

We had two main-sized plates for 90 baht. It was wonderful to be in a Jai restaurant and not have to worry about what we were ordering - there was no English menu. The owner will warn you if something is spicy though. Everything we had was delicious.
