Would rate five stars in a heartbeat if I could. This place is beyond heaven and you must try their spring rolls pineapple fired rice w/ tofu. And tom kha wo fish sauce with tofu and broccoli. I have been ordering this since I was ten and I am still in love.
When you need some comfort from food, get the Tom Kha with tofu and veggies, no fish sauce. And get the hot pot size so you can share or have some for later. OMG the flavor is rich and creamy from the coconut milk, and slightly spicy and citrusy. They also have some spectacular house-made coconut ice cream clearly labeled vegan. Take a pint home!
Casual Thai. Separate Vegetarian section, and open to making other dishes Vegan. Had the Spicy Vege Fried Rice (Very good) and Vege Pad Thai (ok). Fried Tofu as an appetizer - ask for their plum sauce it is delicious.
The best part of the entire meal is that they make their own ice cream here, and have a vegan option.
Though it does serve meat, Your Choice is very vegan-friendly and the food is consistently delicious, above-average Thai cuisine.
The atmosphere is casual and the service warm and friendly. Quality is similar to Your Place on Milpas and Galanga on lower State Street, but these are all in different locations, so if you're on upper State, Your Choice is probably your best bet.
Their peanut sauce is especially good, so the Pra-Ram spinach is recommended.
Be sure to specify "no fish sauce," just to be safe. :-)
The food here was delicious, and tasted authentically Thai. I just had a bowl of soup and salad, and the soup was so filling I had to take the whole salad home. I had difficulty deciding from the TONS of delicious menu items that were vegan/vegan-friendly. On the bottom of the pages it even says that many non-vegan items can be made so by special request, which is sweet. The waiters are not in uniform either, so it has kind of a casual vibe, but it is really a nice place. Recommended! (By the way, I would have given five cow stars but you can only give four for non-vegetarian.)
