Read moreIf you only have time for one dinner in Brisbane, make it dinner here. We booked, and jt was busy so I’d suggest booking. We sat in the front area as it was breezy, but they have a lovely outside area too.
The menus are pasted in books which is interesting. They suggested 3 dishes each as it is a tapas place. They had run out of a few things but still had plenty to choose from. We chose the patatas bravas, seasonal vegetables with hummus, stuffed pesto mushrooms, lemon cauliflower and arancini. Everything was delicious. My favourites were the mushrooms and the seasonal vegetables but everything was excellent. I loved the hummus on the vegetables. The servings were a good size. They also had an extensive mocktail list. My partner had the tropical daze while I had the sour lemon. They were both good.
We couldn’t resist the dessert so we had the apple cheesecake which was served in a glass. I really liked the cheesecake layer. I also couldn’t resist the spice espresso mocktail. This was just incredible. The coconut cream made it special.
Nice staff, cool seating and excellent food.

But went for their valentines set menu and were shocked at what we were served up. Ice cold food were given no water our drinks never arrived, the food we did try was flavourless, the rest inedible due to being freezing cold. The serving staff had no idea what table number we were asking us what our table number was when delivering food, How should we know?
I can’t even explain how bad this meal was we literally never complain, and this was worth complaining about! Also three other couples walked out the same time we did all exclaiming how bad their experience was, one table that was sat waiting but of course not served because service was terrible even walked out because they overheard us talking to the front staff about our experience.

I made a reservation online for December 23rd, but we when arrived at the restaurant, it was closed. I called and emailed the restaurant and heard nothing back. Then I did research online and found out that the same thing has happened to many people and apparently this restaurant has been closed since November, 2024.

I used to come here regularly for the service, vibe and amazing food. None of these things are good anymore. Seems to be under new ownership and the service is terrible, they have no music playing on a Saturday, cocktails are watered down, food is okay but no where near what it used to be and not worth the price. Won’t be back.

The new owners need to re-evaluate their business stratagems. The place is a farce, and a complete tragedy. After apparently a year as new owners, it appeared to me that they had no idea what was going on and moved in yesterday. Menus not updated , Google maps was not updated and they where closed at 2pm when two site have them trading from11.30am seriously.

There where other issues as well with sweeping under our feet in an empty courtyard while we where trying to have a quite conversation. The cultural barriers where glaringly obvious.
Nothing good to salvage from this boat wreck of an afternoon.

We ordered 5 dishes 2 of which were amazing the shrooms and the meatballs were amazing although the meatballs didn't come with the side of chips they stated they came with on weird book menus.

Also I will say we were seated out the back and its not the ideal restaurant setting also we were on the table right at the stairs on a lean downhill we awkward.
So yeah we had 3 dishes of 5 and went down the road to Vegan Restaurant and that was very fast and delicious so yeah put simply good food but probably won't go back

The restaurant itself is in a remodeled old style Queenslander house. It’s really unique, edgy but comfortable. The back garden could use some extra love as it was overgrown. I loved the idea of the menus in a book! The food was really tasty, filling and satisfying! I really wanted to try everything! I enjoyed my cocktails and the crumbed pickles the best!!

Really loved the delicious food. Hubby and I shared the cheese platter, eggplant miso and meet balls. The eggplant was so enjoyable. The cheese platter looked and tasted amazing and even though we were totally full to bursting we just couldn’t stop picking at it as the flavours we so morish.

There is another seating area downstairs and the waitress did ask us if we’d like to move but we would have been the only ones down there so chose to stay with everyone else.

My vegetarian friend was craving cheese so we got the cheese platter and that was a dance on the palate. We shared a number of dishes between us and were surprised that the whole meal came to ~$40pp which I consider to be very reasonable considering everything is made onsite and just how tasty everything was.
The only downside was that I can only eat so much so had to pass on dessert and any other dishes!
