Use to be an excellent vegan restaurant, but always had bad staff. Was fine putting up with it because of vegan food was great. They have now basically got rid of all vegan option. And the owner had the never to go on the news to complain how vegans were ruining their business (while they still have a 4.5 star rating in google). DONT EAT HERE. No support for vegans, only did it for clout then started hating on us when we were confused why the stopped being vegan.
Read moreThe final time I was there the cash register woman asked how it was and I asked them if they would bring back the vegan menu. Out of nowhere the owner showed up and said “have you ever tried to run a business?” I found them very confrontational when I was asked how my experience was and I was just giving honest feedback!

And yes I did go on ACA after being attacked for numerous months for my decision to change my business from completely vegan to not. Why? Because I believe i have a right to stand up for myself and also i hoped to gain support from my business, which gratefully I did.
If me or a staff member came across rude to you when you asked the question about bringing back the vegan menu, it was probably because of all the shit we had been dealing with and I apologise if we were rude.
I am in no way anti-vegan, and I do not hate any vegan, but I do not tolerate bullying from anyone. And I defend my rights to make my choices for myself and my business without being attacked.

You can’t not expect any backlash from the vegan community when you had a 100% vegan venue, then change the menu, then go on the news to complain about vegans “bullying” you when they are just voicing their disappointment. It only goes to Highlights how you capitalise on veganism as a popular trend instead of embodying anti animal abuse and ethical eating. Most vegans won’t appreciate that and no longer want to support you. And again coming on a vegan specific app to further complain about it shows your level of professionalism and tone deafness.

Nobody knows the true intentions behind my actions or those of the business, and nobody knows the extent of the attack I received, and I stand by every decision I made.

We shared 2 vegan meals, staff were lovely and very accommodating. The food was delicious, moussaka and pumpkin fritters, we would definitely go there again.

Food is good and the first time I ate here I had a great experience, but when I visited today to get takeaway (strawberry milkshake, strawberry vanilla cake, burger and yiros) they got my order wrong and didn’t give me one of the items I paid for. I didn’t know until I got home with the food that they’d given me a vanilla milkshake instead of strawberry and omitted the slice of cake I bought. One staff member was eating in the kitchen and handed me my food whilst still chewing her meal, staff in the kitchen were preparing food without gloves. I really want to support local vegan businesses so I will still go back in the future… I know they’re doing their best but I was disappointed this visit.

I am in no way anti-vegan, and neither is the cafe. But after months of attack for my choice to change the cafe to have both vegan & non-vegan options, I exercised my right to stand up for myself.
We still have excellent old and new vegan options and every vegan is welcome at Yiayia’s. The only thing not welcome is bullying, from ANYONE!

Came here after reading many positive and praises from previous comments. I never noticed 'vegan' decor, friendly vibes? Not today. We ordered vegan breakfast, avocado fanned, large baked beans, cashew sauce, baby spinach 6 fried potato croquettes (not home made), a sausage, 4 truss toms.

Her apple juice was canned or bottled? My berry smoothie was frozen, terrible sent back. I ordered baklava and camomile tea after 15 mins never arrived. So paid what we had. Very disappointed overall. Noticed another couple one got his cappuccino the other received his drink 10 mins later? I'd expect ppl would be served together. Noticed all the staff wearing street clothes, I expect kitchen staff in white uniform and waiting staff at least wearing an apron! Health and hygiene a priority for diners.
Didn't get the Happy Cow sticker.

I loved the meals, the service was great. We got to bring our dogs! I couldn’t find anything to complain about and I’m easily annoyed with service and how frothy my cappuccino is. I’m a coffee snob and I enjoyed the coffee!

It’s nice to have another all plant based cafe. The staff were super friendly and the covered outdoor seating is quite nice. Nothing too special about the food itself though I’d love to come back and try the lunch menu out. It’s def worth a visit.

Lots of great choices on the menu, and also a cabinet full of sweet treats (various croissants, slices, and cookies). The food was delicious and staff were so friendly! Good seating choices, outside to see the world go by, inside to enjoy the music and atmosphere, and their private walled courtyard. Will definitely be heading there again

We’re pretty picky about what we like and these pancakes were really good! Had the apple, celery and spinach juice as well and that was good too. Keen to try a few more things on the menu. Thanks for the quality food and service.
