A must-try for vegans in Chengdu! - Edit
If you're vegan and really like (or would like to try) hotpot, then this is the place to go!
Read moreThe broth and their "secret dipping sauce" are absolutely amazing, and the staff is really helpful at guiding you about what and how to order.
Plus they have lots of different ingredients including several kinds of tofu and mock meats, so it isn't just the usual assortment of vegetables like you might be used to!
The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor (1st floor for us Europeans) above a Starbucks.
To get to the restaurant you have to find the back entrance, so look for the signs to point you in the right direction.
Pros: Very taste, Friendly staff, Great for groups (but also works solo!)

Flavorless and disappointing - Edit
The waitress was very eager to give us a recommendation we didn’t ask for but we decided to go with it. Also because it was obvious that we were taking to long to choose, in her opinion. The Sichuan style broth was good, but the tibetan tea hot pot hardly hat any flavor. Some of the ingredients were good, but some weren’t.

Best vegan hotpot - Edit
The Tibetan Tea Vegan Hotpot chain may be the only good vegan hotpot restaurant in the world. The place is small, quiet, and very zen-like for me. I ordered the single potion hotpot which contained everything I like about root vegetables, tofu, tofu skin, with a tea based vegetable broth. All of it was delicious.

Good taste, extremely small portions, bad value for money - Edit
The dishes are good, but you get about a fifth of thr amount you would get at a regular hot pot place. Just go eat at any cheap hot pot in the city, you'd probably enjoy it more

Cute little hotpot place! - Edit
This place has super good service and kept topping up our tea and used translate apps to speak with us (usually we do the translating!)
Read moreThe food was really good and a great place for hotpot.
They made us up a really good dipping sauce.
Out of everything we ordered my favourites were the wontons, noodles, tofu puffs and mushrooms, literally my favourite thing.
They have lots of different bases, you can't go wrong with a tomato base or mushroom base, but the spicy one also looked good.
It was quite hot in the restaurant even in late October, but it's cause everyone has a steaming hot pot! 100% recommend:)
wanted to add that our meal came to around 170 yuan. we left FULL, so probably don't need as much as this for 2 people. You can do cheaper ones :)

Great vegan hotpot in Chengdu - Edit
The restaurant is on the upper floor (pass the house on the right side of starbucks) and the tables are booth-style (separated by walls) in a peaceful ambience. Each person gets their own hot pot, but the ingredients are typically shared. We were three people and took the platter (see photo) which contained around a dozen ingredients (greens, mushrooms, tofu, mock shrimps, "meat"balls). We added some noodles to it, tofu skin rolls and more vegan meats to have enough. The staff helped us to get a good dipping sauce combination which really made the difference, loved all the flavours! All together cost RMB 240.
