Don’t miss it! - Edit
The food here is unreal, some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The staff were so sweet and smiley as well. It’s cash only though so keep that in mind

Affordable Organic Dishes - Edit
Affordably priced vegan and allium-free local dishes featuring organic vegetables! They are known for their Penang Assam Laksa, but the other dishes I tried were good too. Personally would like to see more dishes that are not fried or stir-fried. Saw many people ordering their mixed veg economy rice too. Friendly staff! Conveniently located near Chinatown MRT Exit A.

Very delicious local food - Edit
I had dinner and breakfast in this place as my hostel was just in front, there is a generous offer of dishes, everything is vegan and very delicious. No a/c but there are fans (for me it’s a pro).

Tasty food, not so friendly service - Edit
The food was good and reasonably priced (I had satay screwers and dumplings), but the staff was a bit rude. I had to ask for cutlery a few times before getting any (with food already on the table), they didn't mention anything about possible drinks and they would have placed me at the worst table ever if I had not complained. I got a feeling that being a single non-Chinese woman wasn't very popular there...

Decent food, rude service - Edit
Had the satay skewers and pineapple rice. Skewers were great, rice was mediocre. Attitude of staff could be improved. Encouraged other patrons to put their dirty plates on my table and didn't clear the plates.

Shame I found this place on my last night in Singapore or I would've been back.
So many options on the menu sounded great.

Tasty Place - Edit
Much tastier than the hawker vendors I’ve visited. On both evenings I went, the dishes were under $6 each. Staff could have been friendlier but service was quick.

Great flavors at great prices - Edit
One of the best hole-in-the-wall eateries in Singapore. The menu is extensive and diverse, including both mock meat dishes and healthier fare, and there’s much more in the pre-cooked buffet case (though for the latter it’d be best to arrive early while the pre-cooked offerings are still hot).
Read moreThe herbal soup and the dumplings are exceptionally flavorful, and the hor fun was good too.
There’s indoor seating plus a few small tables outside. Service is briskly transactional so don’t expect an abundance of warmth, but it gets the job done efficiently. Prices are low for what you get.

Delicious and affordable Caifan! - Edit
Requested to drizzle the curry sauce first before adding the fried items so it won't turn soggy. The fried kale chips are so crispy and tasty, and I'm surprised they have fried tempeh too. The curry sauce is fragrant and moist, very good to mix with the rice.
